Bout to launch an ebook, landing page question

Do i need the sales page to be associated with another website, or can it be a site/extension of the site that does not have an outbound links for adwords/adcenter (more so adwords than adcenter obviously)?

ex. i'd like a single html page with a formatted book description, a few buy buttons and nothing else ideally. all of the content and information about the product will be typed and the page will be dedicated to the product itself. no menu or anything like that, no need for personal information or anything, just a straight up hub for my e-junkie buttons.

48 hours to launch, thanks gotta edit til my wrists are sore + design the cover and the sales page but i got this, i dont need to sleep or anything like that. will probably take me longer to name it than it will to build the sales page lol

ATH, I'm not clear on what you're asking -- say your product is named 'My Whiz Bang Amazing Product'...

...are you speaking of the difference between putting the sales page on an existing website (i.e., http://www.athexistingsite.com/mywhizbang) and putting it on it's own website (i.e., http://www.mywhizbang.com)?

Somewhat, didn't realize it didnt come across.

I'd like to sell the ebook on it's own dedicated landing page. I don't want a menu or a privacy policy page, a contact form if it's necessary and nothing but text+an image of the cover. I'm wondering if this meets adwords standards because it isn't outwardly clear to me in the adwords ToS.

the page is being designed for direct conversions and all of the information on the book will be available in a single html sheet, no need for any outbound links. i might incorporate it into a blog later, but as of right now I only want a page built directly to convert views to sales and nothing else.

ex -> dude clicks leh advertisement

    -strategically located attention grabber
-explaining why my book is fking awesome/what it will help them to do & achieve. salesmanship & psychology.
-3-5 buy buttons through the length of the explanation.

basically, the idea is to make them realize how much of the bigger picture that they are missing out on by bombarding them with glimpses of the wealth of content that i've been slaving over for the last 2 months will provide them, make them realize for themselves its an awesome buy, and facilitate nothing but a sale through the landing page.

    if that makes more sense.

most sales and squeeze pages only reference the product they are pitching. It is very rare that I have seen a sales page promote anything but the product they are trying to sell.

Keep it simple. On your sales page, sell your product!
