New Dad Looking For Some IM Help

I am a new proud father of a 2mo and am trying to break my way into Internet Marketing and would like some advice on where to start or what other members are doing to make money. I am not looking to quit my day job as of yet but an extra $300-$500/month would really help. My time is limited, I have maybe 3-4hrs a week, and unfortunately that time comes in only 30min intervals where I never really fell I can keep a good momentum rolling until the next interruption... I try to attend these live webinars but they are usually at 9pm and my baby needs her feeding between 9-10pm so I never have the time to attend one fully through to the end. Any members who have any experience to a newborn can relate to the lack of time. I will be the first to admit and say that I have bought into a number of clickbank systems to make money, but have ADD tendencies and keep jumping from program to program without following one through to the end. The program I have purchased are listed bellow. Anyone with any success with any of them, please share you experience so I know which program to focus on.
Programs I have bought into:
-Dan Brock's Deadbeat Super Affiliate
-Dan Brock & Hitesh Commission Ignition
-Daniel Turner and Marc Lindsay- Consumer Wealth System
-Corey Lewis- Copy Paste Traffic
-Corey lewis & Winter Valko - Affcomm System (Cronic Commissions)
- Socrates -Killer Content System
- John Thornhill- WSO Domination
-The Paid Surveys Authority
-Netlease Profits System

I have also purchased a website on Flippa if anyone would like to critique it it is mypregnancyhub got com.
I would say my biggest weak spot is keyword research, I have not got a full grasp on the best way to pick keywords to go after. I thought about purchasing some kind of tool maybe "keyword Anchor" but any help on this topic would be great.
Any advice or direction as to how I can make at minimum $300/month would be really appreciated. Please no sales pitches for your affiliate products, but real user's of a product make money. I am sorry to sound desperate, but I guess I am at this point.

I would like to send a big Thank you in advance to anyone willing to help me.

-Ken

PS: I did catch a little info on the GoMobile webinar on selling local business mobile apps. Anyone have success with this? I have some experience in cold calling and selling products to businesses so this appealed to me. Thanks

with the info you just gave, i do see one opportunity that i would spend some time developing.

you mention you have some experience with "cold calls" and selling products to businesses.

there is a big area of opportunity right now for those who have the sales ability to help bring existing offline business online and help the use the power of the web to build their businesses. there are many ways to go about doing that and maybe even more ways to build a long term business out of it.

i would definitely explore that angle.

I agree with David. Check out the Offline Marketing section here in the forum. If you can sell to people through cold calling, you could make the amount you are looking for with one client.

I agree with David here. There is a lot of money to be made offline, and it's easier depending on your skill set and being that you have telesales experience then it just makes sense. I'm starting to look for sales reps if you want to partner with me. Send me a PM if you're interested.

Congratulations !! on the new child , im sure that is a big reason and motivation to make some extra money online.

After reading your thread it seems you are all over the place in terms of what you are doing ( dont take that as an insult ), this happens to everyone that starts out in IM.

My basic advice to you is to pick a certain way of making money and continue with it , and what i mean is, where do you expect this money to come from???
google adsense, affiliate programs, offline marketing ? those seem to be the 3 you mentioned. From there, figure out the best way to put all your free time into ONE method and carry it through until you are successful at it.
Your blog site is a good start , and if its keyword research you are looking for , there are many resources on this forum and else where to get you started.
Direction is key with any successful person , make that your main goal and the path will be alot more clear.
    Cheers

    Hey Kenmo,

I just found this. Looks like it might be right up your alley. This site is not even live yet. It looks like it is going live on the 7th of this month. So you know it is going to be up to date info. You can already buy in at a WSO rate. Here is the link:

First off Ken, congratulations on the birth of your child. :-)

Now, as to how you can make an extra $300+ per month... you already have all the information you need in the programs you have purchased. The only way you will ever get to a point where you're making a decent, steady income is to pick ONE system and stick with it until you learn it. I had a tough time with that one myself when I was starting out.

The thing I learned over time was that whatever you do, you should start building a list as soon as possible, then develop a relationship with that list. I never paid attention to that for the first couple of years and consequently, I was constantly working at driving traffic to my offers when, if I had a list, all I would have had to do was take a few minutes to write a message and hit send.

If you want a quick and easy way to make a few bucks, there's a good WSO available that is super easy to use. You'll need to look up the user Machiavelli and his "No Brain" method. I bought it and tried it out and it worked like a charm for me when I wanted to make some quick cash. I'm not including a link, as I'm not trying to sell you anything, I'm just sharing my experience.

I hope this helps and I wish you all the best with your online business. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions.

Congrats on your new bundle of joy. Given your time constraints and what not, I think blogging would be a good option for you. You'll be able to work around your own schedule, and the income is residual - work once but continue to profit from it. In terms of a program, I recommend Unstoppable Affiliate by Andrew Hansen and Josh Stanton.

    Good luck,

Just to add a little information on keywords, I've uses the keyword and keyword phrases tool Google offers in relation to Adwords.

You can use it to research about the keywords popularity and how many times that keyword was searched.

It can be helpful when writing blog content also, if you decide to use blogging as a platform for traffic generation.

I was and still am a bit involved in offline marketing. I did have some success selling mobile sites but it wasn't as lucrative as I'd expected or as much as some other services are.

I think most businesses saw it as a luxury instead of a necessity.

Something that I did have some success with was actually giving mobile sites away. Hostgator will give you up to $125 for each referral that you give them. You give away the mobile site which you can create in about 20 minutes with WillR's template, the client pays around $4/mo to host the site and you get paid by Hostgator on the back end.

The upside is that you could probably use this business model because it can all be done over the phone and you don't have to waste what little time you have by driving all over for meetings. The downside is that there is no recurring income involved, so you'll have to continuously work hard to keep the one time payments coming.

    Best of luck!

    Hi Kenmo,

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the baby.

The key to success is Focus.
What I mean by that is, focus on 1 technique (program you bought), 1 niche, 1 website, and 2 or 3 traffic techniques to get visitors to your website.

You seem to have all the information you need to make money. However, if you are not technical and want to know how to create your first website, have a look in my signature, there is a link to a free gift of mine that will teach even a computer illiterate how to get a site online fast.

Then, I would suggest you create an opt-in form on the homepage of your website to collect a database of people who you can market to in the future. That is called list building and the lifeblood of your future IM success.

If there is 1 absolute asset to everything you do online, it's your list!
Build your list and develop a relationship with your subscribers.
You can easily do that in aWeber with pre-scheduled email messages.

You can learn everything in the free video course below - a successful web business explained

I hope this information was of good value to you and you will achieve at least your $300 goal in the near future with the necessary work and focus. Remember, it's all in the list.

    Cheers

    Hello Ken,

Do a google search for: keyword tool google adwords
(I can't post the link here yet)

You can experiment with your keywords there and it's just a tool and doesn't
    cost anything.

You only need to work with the box that says: Word or phrase

put a check in the box that says: Only show ideas closely related to my search terms

Then--- Type the characters that appear in the picture below. (in the box on that page)

You don't need an account to do this.

Just another tool to add to your collection!

Best thing I can tell you right now.

    Focus.
By that I mean take a deep breathe. I also have a kid so I know how you must feel having the stress of the kid, your gf/wife, bills, and a million other things in your life.

Now take all those wsos you bought and select one that you want to use. Read it about 10 times over and take some notes. Once you do that implement your plan of action. Take time which you said you have roughly 30mins a session.

Well take your first 30mins and write down everything you need to do in a big blue print and mark that off into 30min sections. So now every time you get a 30min break you will be one step closer to your goal.

Once you for-fill your goal GREAT! congratulations you stuck with the method. Now stick with this method for at least 3 months. You will start seeing things pick up.

    Stop Buying WSOs

Do not buy a single more WSO. You are getting shiny object syndrome and will only hurt you in your future goals at Internet marketing. Do not jump from method to method this is the black hole method to never making anything online and wondering what happened when you have 0$ and nothing but a 1gb folder full of WSOs and failed plans you never kept up with.

    Other ways to make money?

    CPA Marketing
    1. Looking into CPA offers. Email submits are the easiest to convert and at $1 a email you can make good money fast.

    Fiverr
Only have 30mins a day to do something? Well figure out what you can do simple and fast and sell it for $5 (really $4) a action.

    Offline Jobs

Craigslist has a Gigs section. Look there for random offline jobs. I know you said you want to get jobs and start into internet marketing but there are some nice gigs for computer related stuff in there you have to look!

    Lawn Business

Again getting a little off topic from IM but if you need to get some money in one of the easy ways is mowing lawns.

    Cold Calling

Look into this and sell people websites, mobile websites whatever you'd like. Cant make a website or no 0 html? GREAT! Outsource it and be completely hands free!

    To Long Didn't Read Version!

Focus on one method! Make a big blue print of the method with 30 min sessions marked off. Complete all the sessions 30mins by 30mins till you get it all done. Stick with this method! Keep using it for at least 3 months. Don't buy anymore WSO. And good suggestions for stuff is CPA Marketing, Fiverr, Craigslist, Lawn Business, Cold calling.

    Good luck!

I want to say thanks to all that have replied. Everyone has given some great info. To answer a few questions and add a little more info. I am mainly interested in Affiliate marketing most. I do have the cold calling offline experience and will definately be looking into that route. However, that will have to maybe hold off for awhile since my free time usually comes late at night or really early in the morning when businesses are usually closed.

I am interested to know any fellow members marketing any good residual programs? This of course appeals to me the most and would like to find a niche with a good residual product. Any info on this would be helpful. Give me your experiences good or bad with these. Thanks...Ken

        Hi Ken,

Welcome to the forum and Congratulations! I myself just received a blessings of a baby boy 3 weeks ago, so we have the same motivation.

As for residual income, you can try searching Clickbank for products that give out recurring commissions. You can also check out Allan Gardyne's site, Affiliate Marketing - Learn Affiliate Marketing From an Affiliate Programs Veteran.

There's quite a few recurring commission products in different niches. Hope this helps you out.

Thanks Guys for all the replies. Some of the info has been great in helping me figure things out. I know my biggest hump to over come is just sticking to one thing and following through with it.

One stupid question I am sure, but I can't seem to find the answer on here anywhere. What do the different folder icons in front of a post mean? You know when browsing the forum some are just a yellow folder, some are on fire, some are purple? Is there a icon glossary on here I am missing? Just curious.

Firstly congratulations on your arrival, time will now fly for you trust me there lol.

Secondly, I would recommend starting and focusing on John Thornhill's WSO Domination, but only if you are looking at creating products of your own.

Otherwise, I would recommend developing a b,og detailing your journey, and concentrate on building a list.

    Take Care.

We seem to all start with the get rich quick products and just keep buying them and never following through.

I too am an ADD person and I had to stop buying and begin to implement. My biggest problem was getting all the pieces to fit together. I finally mastered that when I began to Focus on one product at a time.

You do have some good products - pick one and work it through

Download the audio files of the product you choose and listen to them on a portable device over and over, it will eventually start to resonate and when you implement it, it will not be so trying

    Good luck and welcome

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on being a new Dad.

Pick one niche and one method and stick to it.

New Im'ers often suffer from information overload.

There are many methods you can use, I personally like list building and this was after I got overwhelmed and tried other things, too.

Once I realized you need to treat this like any other business and create a plan, stay focused and work hard over some time, you will do ok.
