How to know which keywords are ranking?

Do you only check with the meta tag keywords for website ranking?

Or do you check all the keywords given from google adwords when you search keywords or your website?

    You can use tools like SEMRush to see which keywords are ranking for your website.

      If you use firefox for your internet than there is also a tool you can download that allows you to type in your site name and any keywords, showing where your site ranks for those specified

        I don't think that is accurate is it?
        I found this today Google Rank checker Rank Finder Position checker Google Position Checker and this doesn't seem accurate too.

        I have one site that is on #4 of page 1 but this says #68 and the tool bar doesn't even show.

          It's from your web history or cookies (not an expert on the subject)

          but try clearing your history and cookies and then search for your site and I'd be willing to bet your results are different!
