I'm curious to see what everyone's plans are in regards to their online business endeavors in the upcoming year. Do you plan on trying a specific strategy or niche? If so what? Do you plan on continuing what you are currently doing and perhaps scaling up? Maybe outsourcing? And what is it you are doing now, exactly?

Just want to get a general sort of estimation on where everyone's focus is going to be come the new year.

I'm thinking about trying my hand at mobile marketing.

Mobile marketing is blowing up and it probably won't be slowing down too soon. I'm not into it at all right now, but I'm thinking about dipping my toes into the pool next year.

Yeah, I've heard some pretty positive things about it and in theory, it makes since that it would be getting so popular.

I am certainly increasing my streams of income and not rely on just one. I am implementing this at the moment and it may take some time but it will certainly be a great way for me.

Mobile marketing is certainly here to stay.

Did you know for 2011 Iphone was the most searched term online, so what do you think is going to happen to people that are in this niche.

We sold an iphone related business on at the beginning of this year for 5 figures. Stay with the popular trends or niches like this that are crazy and have lots of money to blow and you cant go wrong!!!

Well I will be doing what pays the bills for another 6-9 months, which is offline marketing, and then hopefully by this time next year I won't need the offline business and can focus purely on my own ventures, which include:

1 membership site, 1 forum site, and 3 or 4 niche sites (very excited about these as they are in niches with no internet marketers, just incumbent bricks and mortar businesses who don't do any proactive advertising online and yet must be making a killing.

Oh and making products and building lots of lists with all the above!

Be sure to check out WillR's WSO for mobile marketing if you do venture that way. It's second to none in my opinion and put a bunch of money in my pocket. It's a completely different animal than online marketing though, as it's mostly all done offline.

I'm focusing on marketers and customers who have and happily
    spend money on proven solutions.

For me that translates to local businesses, to clients being
forced to market differently due to economic changes. For
example, a lot of my clients are people who are moving from
real estate to internet marketing :-)

I focus on fewer but bigger, more lucrative joint ventures,
so I network with my target customers, taking the time to
    actually get to know them.

For me... that translates into a cruise this month with a
group of my target customers, the marketers cruise in
January with another group of my target customers, etc.

The cruises sound expensive, but they are some of the
most cost-effective marketing I can do. I get to meet
people who will then respond to my JV requests because
they actually know who I am when I reach out to them.

We have 1 niche site, a membership site in a silly niche that does really well.

The thing is membeship stuff is alot better than getting paid once.

They will flourish next year too Is my guess.

Have to ask yourself, do you want a business that just brings in sales, and customers that pay you once.

Or someone that pays you the same amount over and over again.

Recurring income like this is not hard to do at all.

Do you want 100 people paying you $47 one month and then they go away never to be seen again = $4700

Then you need new sales the next month.

Or do you want 100 people paying you say $19.95 a month for 12 months of the year. = $1995 Per month for 12 months.

No new sales needed, you just have to keep your paying customers and add a few new ones.

Keep doing this and you have a killer business, where you can do what you want and live your out your dreams each and every day without too much work at all. Infact....I have just given you the secrets to what we do online with our business.

Very important to "diversify your portfolio" and use numerous income streams. A previous poster spoke about out-sourcing. Sometimes out-sourcing is a great solution because it can save you a ton of time, and keep some sanity in the process!

Just make sure you pick the right things to outsource, such as article writing, etc.(nothing that if done improperly will result in the crumbling of your company..sometimes out-sourcing has its learning curves)

2012 will be another year full of writing for me. It's the one thing I always seem to be doing, no matter what else is going on in my life.

For the rest of this year (and into next year) I'll be writing a lot of self-help stuff because it's a topic I enjoy thinking and writing about. By the time the end of the coming year is reached, my goal is to have a decent start on an authority blog (one hopes) with "mastery" being the main topic.

I've got a little bit written already and I put them up on my personal website. But I've already begun putting them on a separate site (SheerMastery.com) where the remainder will go (instead of on my personal site) and where I will focus exclusively on sub-topics related to self-mastery.

I'm actually blessed to be able to say this is something I don't "have" to do -- and I'm fortunate enough to get to do it just because I want to.

I plan to put many of my ideas on hold and focus on the business I enjoy most: selling PLR. I have spent way too much of 2011 spreading myself too thin so that I can complete multiple projects. This creates less quality work as well as the feeling that I'm not succeeding in any area because none of them get my full attention.

2012 will be about building up my PLR inventory, running more specials, starting a PLR membership, and networking with others for possible PLR partnerships/JVs.

I am going to continue to focus on my blog. More specifically, I am going to push out quality content and actively do list building. Right now, I have a list, but all the sign ups come from the search engines. I also plan to launch my PLR store.

I want a way to generate recurring income from Paypal -- outside of getting paid via affiliate programs. I have actually already purchased a domain and a course to teach me what I need to know but have done anything with them.

My blog has gained a lot more traction in the SERPs and has become really easy to manage, which has left me kind of bored -- my other motivation for starting a PLR store. I figure I can at least crank out a pack a week without too much effort. These will be the only things I focus on unless I find a preferred method to make money via Paypal.

I'll continue doing as I am with my larger content sites. I'm adding a local affiliate marketing project (it's underway as of October 2011). I started local aff. marketing this year and it's been a great success. I just need to scale up the promotion.

I'll also work a little harder on listbuilding by leveraging my existing larger, higher traffic info/review sites. I have extensive and informative e-mail sequences in place; now it's a matter of increasing subscriber rates.

I hope not to veer too far off the above plan. If I do so, I'll kick myself because it's a solid long-term business plan that's worked well in 2011:

    • Large, quality content sites (I focus on 3)
    • Subscribers
    • Above being diversified working as an affiliate for local businesses in one industry.
With respect to my content sites, I'll be working on building up my authority as much as I can by ramping up my research significantly for more and higher quality content.

In November 2011 I was fortunate to go full time into IM so I'll have much more time to devote to IM.

America might have talent...Me? Not so much.

No, I think I'll just spend my hard earned money on Magic Cards.

Maybe I can eventually put together a deck that wins.

This year I will focus on two things - growing my Ghostwriting service, and PLR site. The plan is to do at least on thing everyday to attract targeted visitors, and produce one page of content for each site. Keep it simple.

I already made this commitment on Tiffany Dow's blog for her 365 Day 2012 Challenge, so it makes sense to add it to this thread.

I´m going to do all the stuff I had planned on doing this year. Why did I not do them during 2011? Busy, busy, busy

Seriously though, I´m going to do more of what works. Use a much bigger knife to chop off time-consuming ideas and projects that drain energy and distract from the solid path.

      Less vanilla and more hardcore.

Next year, I plan on expanding my PPC campaigns to the level. I'm on track to spend a couple grands a month on advertising costs. Currently working with Facebook ads and am having a lot of success with them.

I will be focusing all my efforts to promote MLM opportunities online and build residual and leveraged income. Something that I did not focus on in the past few years online.

Gone are the days where I promote affiliate programs for others like on Clickbank. Gone are the days that I am getting paid $3-$5 for CPA offers.

In 2012 I am planning to generate at least 2-5 monthly MLM checks online and do this every year.

A new chapter has opened up for me.

My 2012 Plans Have a Few Components:

    1. Get my Self-Improvement Business to $1,000+ Revenue Per Day
    2. Automate My WSO Business So I Can Slowly Increase Production Of WSOs Without Living On A Computer
    3. Set up Facebook Fan Pages and Automate Their Growth With Ad Campaigns And Hootsuite For Auto Publishing
    4. Coaching A Few Select Entrepreneurs On Doing All This Stuff As Well.

Hope Everyone Has A Very Profitable and (Most Importantly) Fun and Happy 2012!

    Cheers,

    Brad

    Hey!

    My plans for 2012 are:

To focus on WSOs, get involved more, and create some of my own.

To focus on JV giveaways, again, focusing on running my own.

And just to keep building and building.

I will be also mentoring in 2012. More specifically, newbies and some intermediate marketers.

My overall goal is to grow as an entrepreneur.

I've been in IM for 18 months now and started making money from January.
Till this day, I've banked around $50k from IM.

My target would be to find ways to double on that, or minimally, increase it by 50%.

2011 has been a great journey for me, personally and professionally, there were days when I had my ups and downs.

I'm very looking forward to 2012.

    Wish me luck!

    Cheers!

Interesting point. Some prefer to do things themselves and others like to outsource.

I'm launching a new content site, this is going to be a major one compared to my other ones. Going to hire 10 writers from day 1, to write daily articles.

Also, going to close down a few sites as well, to cut cost and pay for the new one. Will save ~1000/mo doing so.

My plans for 2012? Simple I plan to create more products that offer a genuine solution to people's challenges, and I also plan on ensuring that I develop more income streams, as I am a firm believer that is a bad thing to keep all your eggs in one basket.

I completely agree. Crazy things happen all the time and diversifying sources of income is best for stability.

On a personal biz note, I am now working on growing into my next niche, the fitness market.
I thought this would be the perfect market to go in as I get to make money and will be accountable to remain fit as well

On the IM market, first half of 2012 is more on building new masterminds and JV partnership and working together. Looking to go to new workshops, meetups and other gatherings to know new peeps. Sales and markets are planned for the second half
