Parked Domain - confused!
June 10th of this year (less than 6 months ago) I registered a domain and started a forum on it. After a few months I grew bored with the subject matter and closed the forum, which had only attracted about 10 members anyway.
I sat on the domain for a while and then two months ago I parked it on Google Domains.
Now, inexplicably, I'm pulling in an average of a dollar a day for the last two months. In November, it earned me a little more than $30.
I don't understand why.
I'm rather confused why a site that made me zero money when it was a forum (and I had Adsense on it then) is now making me money when the site is just a page full of Google ads.

- The domain never had a high PR and is still listed as not PR'd in the various checker tools I've looked at
- It's a three-word, 21-character .org
- If I google related keywords, this site doesn't show up in the first few pages of results
- I must be getting a lot more traffic now than I ever was when it was a forum
- I had a few other small sites (a blog that actually was a blog, some small sites) that I also parked on Google Domains a couple months ago. They got more traffic than that forum ever did, but haven't earned me a penny yet.
- The site does not pay big bucks per click - many days I see the amount rise from a few pennies to a dollar or so during the day.
