I've heard about people are building many niches at the same to boots their income. So am I going to do so or I will be focusing what I am currently doing now?

Depends what you want to achieve. If your current site is still not working effectively and profitably for you, concentrate on that first and then move on.

    More sites = more resources

Personally, I advise newbies to concentrate first on servicing a demographic e.g. Middle aged men. Then, you can go into as many niches as you like but only if they fit this demographic (e.g. health niche not handbags). Build on one niche under this umbrella first and expand until you have a few related niches covered. The advantage of this strategy is that in time you will have lots of lists that can be marketed to as one huge list (cross-sells, up-sells, complementary goods etc.). I just saved you $1,997 in coaching fees

This is great advice. You remain focused and also insulate yourself from one or two duds in a given market.

    Winsenken,

I would recommend that you choose one niche and work on it until you are profitable. Don't spread yourself too thin at the start or you will get overwhelmed!

    Kind regards

    Chris

As a newbies is good to start with one niche when successful with the niche you can go into another niche. if you start with more than one niche you might get confuse and dis-organize end up mixing things up. So start with one niche and as you gain control and gather more knowledge, you will be able to control 5 or niches at the same time. Hope this help

Agree with Chris. Consider your options and see where they take you. Assess. Plan. Assess.

with the online marketing niche its all about the list. if you have a good list or even a big list you can make money. you should start by finding a couple free products to give away and send out a welcome email in your auto responder...don't have an auto responder? get back in touch with me and i can run you through the whole process in about a day. it may cost a little more money than what you have already spent, i am not sure how far along you are but just get back in touch and let me know your situation and i will be happy to help

Don't make the same mistake that nearly all newcomers make by jumping around from project to project. Work your first venture until it is profitable and then implement all that you've learned into your next site.

    Best of luck.

make an inventory of your skills and see where you fit in the models below:

    1. Niche Marketing
    2. Product Creation
    3. Offline service provider
    4. Ghostwriter/service provider
    5. Blogger
    etc.

But what I've observed online is that the fastest way to succeed
is to try things lightly, see what's working and then focus on it.

I also realized that all internet marketing skills come together
for whatever online income model you choose.

So you can learn many skills and try many paths to online income
then evaluate what works and stick to it.

    Its different for everybody...

I started in 1 niche made money the repeated that through other niches....

I now have a huge portfolio however I now only really concentrate on about 15 sites and the others are just left to make what money they make....

You will find your own path

Focus on one niche and work on it...once you have a firm hand on that niche then maybe you can start to venture into other niches that compliment your main niche. Good luck!

The main reason being that they started first with one niche.

The moment it makes you money with the first is the time you further scale it up with another one.

I suggest you don't make the mistake of building many niches at the same time without proper marketing research.

You'd get a big headache if you would.

A niche is just a strategy. First get "real good" at one thing, then spread out. Once you're efficient, it's just a matter of duplicating those techniques into the next niche -with some adjustments of course.

I think it depends on how much time you actually have and how much time you're willing to spend. One caveat would be that you try not to burn yourself out. Heed the advice of others here and start slow. One niche, maybe a handful of sites and gauge your abilities and success in due time then proceed to modify. Good luck!

If I where you and I wanted to boost my income I would focus on building an email list. After all your list is your business ultimately; not a niche site.

If you want a niche site then by all means get one. However ensure that your empathises is placed on building that list.

For example create a niche site to target your market segment then divert this traffic to your squeeze page. Now you should be building a list, which you can them monetize and at the same time building a strong foundation for long term business

Firs focus only on a niche that you really enjoy to do it, can be hobby but before that you have to look if profitable niche.
Use google.com and search for your niche for example, dog training and if you find ADS on the right side on google then your niche its worth to monetize. If there is no ADS may be because its saturated or dont worth to try it because is not profitable.

    My 2 cents.

Yes, unless you start getting organic traffics from Google.

Concentrate on a single niche first. Write regularly and market it well until it starts getting traffic automatically. After that you might slow down posting on that niche and focus on other niches.

    Good Luck!

Without a shadow of a doubt you should concentrate on making one niche profitable first. There is so much to learn in internet marketing that info overload is quite a deadly enemy for you.

So just concentrate on that one niche first, then as you get profitable, and more experienced then you can develop another niche, and so on.

You need to focus on one niche first and see results before you move on to make sure you're doing stuff right. If you're building niche sites one after the other without waiting for results, you could be making the same mistakes on all of them and wasting a lot of money on domains and stuff.

I'd focus on a demographic rather then a niche. Then with that demographic in mind I would focus on niches that appeal to that demographic. That way you learn what works towards those people and it will carry over from product to product or offer to offer.

Yes Dude, your best option is to dominate 1 niche first. And try to record all the steps that you took so that you can easily duplicate your system in other niches. Once you've mastered this process, you caN then go ahead to tackle any other niche you want to exploreand dominate. Hope this helps.

So many posts about this, so I've written this response:

        1. Choose a niche.

A niche is a portion or specific area of a market. For example, 'vitamin supplements' is a niche in the health market, 'how to buy foreclosures' is a niche in the wealth market, 'how to stop a dog from barking' is a niche in the pet market, and so on.

Once you find a niche you want to pursue, you want to make sure there's a demand for products in that niche. Go to google keyword's tool, type some keywords from your niche, such as 'stop dog barking', 'quit smoking', 'vitamin supplements'. If you can't find a keyword, in the niche that has more than 4k to 5k searches a month, then you'll need to find a different niche.

Also, do a google search for the same keywords above, if you see plenty of (adwords) ads on the right hand side of the search page then you're good to go. If you don't, then people are more than likely not making any money in that niche, and you should look for a different one.

Decide whether you're going to create your own product or sell someone else's. Although you'll hear marketers swear by one or the other, I personally don't think it matters all that much, at first anyway, the goal is to achieve an online income.

Of course, you could also do both.

You can create the product yourself if you have time, or have it created for you if you have the money to spend.

If you're going to sell as an affiliate, sign up for clickbank, at clickbank.com. It's free and you should find plenty products in your niche to promote. Commission Junction is also a good affiliate network to join.

        2. Pick a domain name for your website.

Pick a domain that is a keyword in your niche. For example: waystostopsmoking.com or PreventDogBarkingGuide.net. And so on. It may take searching to find one that isn't taken already, but it's worth it. A domain name will cost about $10 a year.

        3. Set up hosting for your website.

There are plenty hosting companies out there.

        4. Build a squeeze page.

This is a one page website designed to do one thing, and that is get people's email address for a free gift in your niche. To get an idea what a squeeze page looks like, type 'squeeze page' into google, then click the 'images' tab.

The free gift can be a 15 to 20 pages ebook about how to stop dogs from barking, how to find women or whatever niche you decided to get into.

You can write the ebook yourself if you have things to say about the topic. If you don't know anything about the niche, research it online, and Compile 15 to 20 pages worth of solid information on the subject, do not just copy and paste other websites content, your ebook needs to be written in your own words, otherwise, you're infringing on someone's copyrights. This is bad practice and will get you in trouble.

The other thing you could do is buy a PLR ebook, although most PLR ebooks are junk, you can find some good quality ones out there. Buy from someone with a good reputation. Forums are a good place to find good PLR writers.

        5. Drive traffic to your squeeze page:

Pick 2 or 3 ways of driving traffic to your site and work them until you start seeing sign ups to your email list. If you're not sure what traffic methods to use, do this:

        a. Look for forums in your niche. Run a search for 'your niche + forums', for example: 'dog training + forums'. Join 2 to 3 forums and start contributing to the discussions. Don't spam, provide value to the forum, in return you get to put your signature, which will be your link to your squeeze page, at the bottom of every post.

        b. Participate in what's called 'online giveaways' or 'JV giveaways', do a google search for 'JV giveaways' and you'll see what they are, it's free to participate, sign up for 1 or 2 and follow the procedure. One thing about online giveaways is you should have at least 50 or so subscribers to your email list before you can participate. So work on getting subscribers first, using forums, then do online giveaways.

These 2 traffic methods alone, will get you a few hundred subscribers, if not more, for your niche in a matter of a couple of months.

        6. Create a series of follow up emails:

Create a series of short follow up emails where you provide value to those who signed up for your free ebook. You can write these yourself, or you can buy PLR articles, again, there's a lot of junk PLR, but if you search enough, you can find people providing quality articles.

Use Aweber to handle your list and emails. It's a great service, definitely worth $19 a month.

After every 5 to 6 follow up emails you send out, send a promotional email, telling them why they should buy your product (or someone else's).

        7. Grow you list:

Keep sending traffic to your squeeze page and grow your list. Treat your list well, don't bombard them with promotional emails, instead work on giving as much value as you can. Only suggest a product every now and then.

This is one the best and cheapest ways to start making money online. Not only will you see an income from your list, but you'll also have an asset. Product offers come and go, google changes algorithms and sometimes reaches out and slaps internet marketers. Your asset will make you immune to all these issues.

Hope this helps and good luck.
