help- Book promotion

Hi,
Newbie needs to build a site for promoting a single, newly released autobiography book. income from sales will go to a charity.

Both hardcopy & digital available. Site will contain links to corresponding amazon,nook, kindle etc.

What do u think is the ideal set-up, wp-plugins, strategy ?
should i bother with squeezing emails?
any good examples out there?

all tips appreciated,

    Here are just a few things you can do to market your book:
    • Set up a Website
    • Have a blog associated with the site
    • Have one or more independent blogs associated with the book
    • Make the book available on Kindle and other Kindle-type publishing formats
    • Isolate chapters or sections of the book and offer them free or as an optin to build a list
    • Create a sig file on WF and put a promotional link to one of your blogs or main site
    • Write three articles/posts per week for your blogs
    • Offer the book as a WSO
    • Appeal to the charity that will be receiving donations for help in promoting the book
    • Create business cards and flyers and hand them out to people you meet
    • Call talk radio stations and tell them you'll sit for phone interviews
    • Write press releases to both online and offline publications announcing the release of your book
    These ideas should keep you busy for a few days...
