[2011] What Was You're Stand-out Moment?

hi Folks,

We are well into December and new year beckons.

So I figured it was time to pause, reflect and perhaps take stock of our achievements in 2011.

Yes, I'm sorry to disappoint all the negative nellies... but this is a positive thread.

Feel free to share your breakthroughs... no matter how big or small. Give as much or as little as you want. But shout it out.

I'll begin...

Personal: Getting my health back on track and overcoming what Ken's going through. not as serious, but a scare nonetheless.

Business: Taking my online skills to build a local home handyman service from scratch in March to a $6-$8k monthly turn over... and i have others do most of the work. Never had the balls to do this before, but hey... why not?

I'll give it another 12 months and sell it.

Inspiration: Due to my first achievement, I have to say that I was deeply saddened by the news about Ken Strong. However, I was also inspired by the way fellow Warriors responded so quickly to help Ken out... including the big guy with the cigar, Hey Sal and Cueball.

A lot goes down on here, but this has been truly incredible and inspirational. It's nice to know that the love for a fellow Warrior can still transcend the desire for money and personal gain.

Over to you...

Sal

Hitting my first $2,000 CPA day. Lots of hard work and needless to say I felt unstoppable that day. Will hit higher soon. Glad you got over your sickness and my thoughts are with Ken!

The day that I got to quit my job and officially work from home. For the first time in a long time I am enjoying working everyday. Now I just have to work to ensure that 2012 will be even better.

Best of luck to you Sal and everyone else in the following year.

    2011 ? Wao!

This year, I fully decided to catch IM by the horn so my first stand-out moment was when I realised I hit over $800/month. Second was the day I realised I banked over $170/day. These points have made me believe that I can make it too as others and so 2012 stands to be a year of greater achievements

I'd have to say this year has been pretty uneventful really. Nothing great and nothing terrible has happened "touch wood". It's been a year of slogging away and getting back on track. Still, a couple of relatively stand-out events would be having my first $3k month in my "offline" business earlier in the year, and secondly getting my own place about a month ago. For the first time when I look out my office window I can see rolling fields instead of other houses, which is pretty sweet.

Started my first joint venture with a business partner for a new online business. Working with someone else can make a real difference and help you avoid the loneliness of working by yourself online....there's many other benefits of working together, of course...one, being that you stay more focused...and another, the ability to put two heads together to plan projects and oversee various areas of your business, etc.

Getting my testing and tracking refined.

Too many times as marketers we think the grass is always greener, and that the holy grail is just an arm reach away.

But I can tell you, that there is no holy grail and most the time the answer is sitting there staring at you in the face.

We have dramatically increased our profits this year by one thing.

DOING MORE OF THE THINGS THAT WORK!

if you find a traffic source bringing you in sales, keep using it.

If you find an email in your AR sequence is killing it, and brining sales, keep using it.

If you find a certain sales page or exit pop up box is brining you more subscribers or more sales, keep using it.

Write everything down that is bringing in sales, and any time you test something and it works...keep it jotted down somewhere in a database handy. That means while you are testing new things small scale, you have a plug and play list of thing you know work and can bring in sales (like clockwork baby ) no matter what...They are almost guaranteed if you know what I mean.

Even if the economy is bad, or your are going through a bit of a slow down in sales, you know straight away what was working before, and you just need to go back to those tactics. Its a very powerful business practice and I wrote a WSO on this earlier in the year.

Just by keeping better records and testing and tracking things efficiently we have nearly doubled our income in 2011.

That's probably the sweetest of all. I still have a photo copy of my first clickbank check and a copy of my first book royalty check.
