What other kind of content do you put on a review blog?

I'm building out my review blog. I want to build it out to at least 100 pages.

So as an example, If I'm doing a blog about Kitchen Aid mixers(affiliate product)........let's say I have 5 reviews, about 5 different KA models. In addition to the 5 what other things could I write about?

what other content would I place on my blog?

Thanks gals and guys.

You could also place websites links that sell the product, like Amazon and a few featured Kitchen Aid mixers, some YouTube videos of them being in use, Kitchen Aid mixer recipes, etc...Same goes for electronic or appliances. Just think outside of the "review blog" box....hope this helps.

      Thanks,

I mean in terms of content writing.

If I were putting together a review site about KitchenAid mixers (which I never would, we're currently entrenched in a huge battle with KitchenAid regarding a 10 year warranty they won't or can't stand behind ), as well as the actual reviews, I would write articles centered around recipes using the mixers, articles about eating healthily, articles about add-on products you can buy (with links), etc.

Most of these articles could then be published on Ezine Articles (after first being indexed on your own site), for syndication.

If I had to write 100 pages on Kitchen Aid mixers, I think I'd shoot myself. Hopefully you're going to outsource it lol.

    Let's see...
Recipes and tips for various kinds of diets (vegetarian, low carb etc.)
    Time-saving tips in the kitchen.
Holiday related stuff (how your mixer can make your holidays easier)
    Recipes for kids
    Charts comparing the different mixers
    Fast kitchen clean up tips
Bread making (you can use mixers for that right?)

    ...and I'm out.

      Hello,

I never said I was writing 100 pages on KA products. No, I will not outsource it. I can write better than any outsourced writer.

      Thanks

clearly this is not the case otherwise you would not be asking for help here...

also, this thread has annoyed me. instead of trying to focus purely on content which will SELL SELL SELL, why not think about offering value?

create a comparison chart, offer links to related sites, get some custom photographs. basically, think like a buyer...

    Thanks for the reply.

If I write content about recipe's wouldn't that attract people that already own the product?

Take Anne's and TrustedCopy's ideas and run wild with them. They're right on point. By writing informational content (like how to pick a Kitchen Aid mixer that's best for you, 5 things you can make with a Kitchen Aid mixer for your next dinner party, or 3 great add-ons to your Kitchen Aid mixer, etc.), you're showing readers that you offer more than just a "buy" button. You're showing them that you really know your stuff, and in your expert opinion, Kitchen Aid mixers are the way to go.

And definitely take Anne's advice about getting those articles syndicated! You'll wind up with a ton of targeted traffic if you do it.

Not necessarily. Maybe I'm thinking about buying a Kitchen Aid mixer, but I'm not really sure what I would do with it once I got it. Will it sit and collect dust on my counter? Will I only get use out of it during big holiday dinners? But if you show me a variety of everyday recipes that I can use my Kitchen Aid mixer for, you've just convinced me to buy it!

    You could write:

    1. This Mixer vs. Other Mixer
    2. Top 10 Mixers Under $XX (You could do one for $25, $50, $100, and $250)
    3. Mixer buyer's guide (You could use this as an incentive for your list, too)
    4. Blog about any newsworthy events in the Mixer world
    5. Do a brand report on different brands
    6. Recipes
    7. Mixer maintenance tips
    8. Eating Healthy
    9. Negative reviews (Most people don't think to do negative reviews because it's "not worth their time", but it is)
    10. Q&A Type articles? Not sure how much of that you could do for mixers, but I'm sure there are a few common questions you could write about.

    Hope that helps!

    Kindly,
    - Stephen
