Finding a new host - which one to use?

Hello warriors

Im from Denmark and have a bunch of Danish domains and wordpress blogs running. Im about to expand to the English market, as I will get content for 5 MFA sites.

In that regard, I need to purchase 5 .com domains, and get hosting to go with it.

I was thinking about Hostgator and using a 25% coupon and just make a complete order for the whole thing at once (their Baby Plan). However their 25% off is just off the hosting and not the domains.

I know they have an affiliate program, but I will only send them 1 lead = my own in case I make use of that. Can I get a payment of $50 or do I need to get more in order to get the payment from them?

Does it costs money to transfer domains to Hostgator?

Does anyone else have any suggestions for a better/cheeper alternative than Hostgator?

You do not have to register or host your domain names with HostGator to be able to use their web hosting service

You can register your .com domains with 1and1 for $4.99 each and link the domains to your HostGator web hosting account.

Thank you for your recommendations of Hostgator Sounds like you guys agree with what I've heard about them.

Excelent information about the $4.99 domains, that will save me some money

Anyone else with input on how to do this in a smart/cheap way is appresiated. Maybe a coupon code I dont know of, or if you have any other alternatives you like to recommend.

Hi, I use both Hostgator baby and hostgator reseller and have no issues. Very good general hosting.

I never have domains and hosting in the same place.

I use Godaddy for domains and have never had an issue and I have around 100.

Beware of cheap domains as they tend to be very expensive when you come to renew.

I have NEVER bought or renewed a Godaddy Domain without finding a discount code which means $7.99 per domain per year, every year

There are a number of Godaddy coupons here that I'm sure could help you.

I'm another advocate for hostgator. I've even had to turn to their customer service a couple of times and they are super helpful, as well as being available 24/7.

Sounds like its going to be Hostgator for sure, with all the good recommendations you guys are giving them.

So best solution I have for the package of 5 .com domains and hosting is:
    1. I order the 5 domains from 1and1 (they actually have a $2.5 commision through thier affiliate program - but might not meet min. req. for payout - not sure if $12.5 is enough)
2: I sign up as affiliate for Hostgator and I give myself a commision of $50 when I order the hotel.
From what I can read they give a $50/signup.
From what I can read there is no minimum payout, so I should be able to get $50 'cashback'.
    3. I use a 25% coupon on the hosting (best I can find at the moment)
    4. I link the domains with my hostgator account.
