I Have an ebook planned. What product would you recommend for ebook creation and marketting?

EDIT: Please ignore the silly spelling mistake in the thread title
I have a few ideas for a couple of e-boos I'd like to create, and they are centred in a topic I am quite passionate about (they're not about internet marketing so I'm not very much worried about competition). I hear product creation and marketing is one of the most lucrative methods, if the most time consuming, for making money online.
Problem is, I haven't a clue where or how I should begin doing so. I notice that a lot of the clickbank ebook sales-pages I see out there are laid out in the exact same layout, same video format, same graphics and highlighters, the same old 'PS, PSS' footnotes and all that jazz. This leads me to believe that there is one common rule or guide a lot of ebook marketers follow when it comes to ebook creation, but I don't really know what it is. I know there is a lot of good product guides out there that can teach me this sort of stuff, but which would you recommend? I've heard of 'Underachievers secret' but its reviews were pretty much horrid.
I'm a total newb at product creation and internet marketing (I don't have an email list, I haven't created a product before etc) so I'm pretty much looking for a top notch guide that can teach me all the fronts and ends of product creation and marketing (and hopefully 'webinar marketing' as well, I hear this is also a lucrative method for making money).

I'm trying to raise around 30k$ before next year hopefully so I can afford to enter university. Is it possible at all?

To create an ebook start with Word or OpenOffice
and get writing. Once you're happy with your ebook
simply save it as a PDF.

If you want to build a list or use an exit pop, you'll
need a squeeze page. You'll need a short report or
    similar to give away.

Then you'll need a sales page for your main product
and a thank you or download page where your
    customers can download it.

With that basic system in place and with your chosen
payment gateway such as DigiResults, Clickbank, etc.
    you're good to go.

    Hi,

I'll PM you with the URL to a blog post that you might find useful. It outlines some of the nuts'n'bolts involved in creating and distributing ebooks.

It's good that you're thinking well beyond having a product ready to sell. There are several critical things you need to know about product creation. Perhaps the most important is to write for your target market. Understand where their heads are and give them what they long for. You say you're passionate about your project and that's great. Another thing that's super important is to provide massive value to your readers.

As for the creation of the actual guide or course (never call your work an ebook. ebooks are a dime a dozen and considered cheap) John has given you excellent advice. Write it in Open Office "writer" and it will be easy to convert to PDF when you're ready.

As for the sales page, they all look similar for a reason. That's because certain formatting, graphics and copy works. You say your project isn't Internet Marketing so you might not want to create your sales page modeling typical IM pages. Look at a few successful pages in your own niche to get ideas on what works.

Another thing I've found helpful is to write your sales letter before you create the product. Just go crazy with everything you'd want your readers to have and to learn. Play it up big. Promise the world. When you do this you have an excellent outline for the actual product. When you create your guide or report or whatever you decide to call it, make it as good as you promised in your letter. And if that doesn't work for you, at least create the outline for your sales letter. You can use it for your product outline as well.

As for building a list, you might want to seek out PLR and MRR (Private Label Rights & Master Resale Rights) products in your niche you can offer to people as an optin. With that in mind you'll be looking at getting a domain for your listbuilding activities. There's no reason that domain can't host your sales page too. Try and get relevant and popular keywords in the domain name if possible.

Congratulations on your venture and good luck.

Whoa, slow down there. You're asking a ton of different things here.

First of all, finish your product. Make it as good as you can.

Then work on your sales page. You can either try writing it yourself or outsourcing it. (A good copywriter will be pricey though.) I'd recommending writing the first draft of the letter yourself and then hiring an experienced copywriter to edit/polish it.

Then set up all your technical points like web hosting, list building service etc.

Do you plan on offering an affiliate program? If so, you should create some top quality content/material that you're affiliates can use to promote your product.

Then and only then should you start working on promotion. (Prelaunch, launch, post launch etc.)

There's a TON of info all all these topics. I'd STRONGLY advise focusing and completing one before moving onto the next. Believe me, I've done it all. It's a lot of work, but it's worth it in the end.

    Good luck.

Before you even start on creating your ebook...do some research and make sure there is a market for it first! It is really easy to spend a ton of time creating a product in a niche we are passionate about only to find that no one wants it.

Nobody mentioned it so I will. Upload your book to amazon as a kindle book and as a physical book (createspace). You can make a lot of money just doing these two things.

I've written and published four ebooks to date. After the first one I figured out a system on how to write a quality ebook in 3 days or less. The last three only took me 3 days to write (and they weren't long days). I've written an ebook about my system (there's a link in my signature).
I hope it's ok to tell you this here, but I think it would really help you. It also contains a template you can use which will format the book for you.
    Hope this helps!

    YES,

You can make money selling ebook or any other content online.

I suggest that you read about "copywriting" if you want to know about the "sales page format used in the website, if you are not good in design, outsource to a great designer, and get a secure delivery system to handle your transaction and protect your client download.

I have been in this business for years, have made my fair share of profits, and I can tell you one thing- It is possible to make any amount of money selling content online.
