No, of course not. When you re-publish articles from an article directory, you have to keep to the terms of service.

Always read the terms of service carefully before re-publishing the content.

You'll lose your website (at least temporarily) if DMCA notices are served on your host (as they may well be), and maybe have it de-indexed by Google as well.

Typically, they don't. But the authors do. The authors want and need to know who's syndicating our articles, because that's why we've put them into the directory in the first place. http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...ries-work.html

If you take one of mine (and I do have a few hundred there), with my resource-box and links intact, you'll get an email from me thanking you for republishing my work, and offering you more articles on the same terms. (I provide the content - you provide the targeted traffic and a backlink). I'm an "article marketer" so that's how I build my business, and it's why I put my articles into one or two directories among all the other places they go.

If you take one of mine without my resource-box and links intact, you might be hearing from me with a very different sort of email. I will (easily) find out that you've done that. And even if I can't contact you and don't know who you are, I can and will easily contact your host, and they'll respond to the standard DMCA notice I send in the way they always do - by taking down your website for breaching their terms of service (and the law)! :p

    Good luck!

My worst nightmare and realization is that there are thousands maybe tens of thousand of individuals who are doing just what this blogger is contemplating!

That is why I have shutdown most of my Web sites with original content and have been solely publishing original material on Kindle and Barnes and Noble.

Since I started this migration in 2009, I am earning a nice and growing income from both e-publishers.

I used to sell some of my e-books from my own site and Trade-bit in PDF form, but quickly stopped after some of those buying them started reselling the content. I worked three years researching and writing the material.

That essentially what this poster wants to do with others' hard work, except he paid nothing for the content and wants to take credit for it as well as benefit financially.

It's mighty hard to believe so many on this forum have never heard nor seem to understand the terms plagiarism and common theft.

Again, that is why I no longer publish any original material on a Web site.

Even though my Kindle and Barnes and Noble e-books are protected, they still get ripped off from time to time and sold on membership sites outside U.S. jurisdiction.

Again, I know I must be looking at the world through rose-colored glasses, but I am literally floored by this poster's question... .

Here's the best advice I could find on such short notice, and since I am not good with words myself:

"When freedom does not have a purpose, when it does not wish to know anything about the rule of law engraved in the hearts of men and women, when it does not listen to the voice of conscience, it turns against humanity and society." - Blessed John Paul II

Apart from totally agreeing with what Alexa said, I'm staggered that you actually asked this question!

Why would you want to cheat other people out of their rights? They have spent time writing the articles, and their reward is the hope that others will syndicate their articles so that some of their readers may click the links in the articles. This is how the article owners can earn something from their efforts in return for allowing syndication.

You, however, come along and want to cheat them out of that right, presumably because you are too lazy or incompetent to write your own articles. Why?

I think there may be others, like me, who will make a mental note to watch out for you in future, as you have shown yourself to be quite untrustworthy, to say the least.

As a writer myself, I agree with everything that has been said. You're basically asking if it is ok to be a thief and the answer is NO! It definitely is NOT ok. It's actually insulting, among other things.

I hate to pile on here but do you really not know that it's illegal and unethical to steal other people's work?

He knows it's not right - he's just asking how to get by with doing it.

      No assistance here with that.

Dear April: I don't want any trouble from you.
January was long, February was iffy, March was a freaking dumpster fire.
So sit down, be quiet, and don't touch anything.

Alexa has replied your query properly. One must not do that.

Yet again another insensitive and absolutely pointless post.

How can you even contemplate stealing other people's hard work? How would you feel if you had taken the time to write original content only for some lazy incompetent fool to just copy it without looking at the terms and conditions. I saw the other post, and you just amaze me with your attitude.

The only thing I can think of is a trip to court for breach of copyright may well get people's heads straight on this drivel.

Maybe it's not all the fault of people who express such views. Certainly it is easy to express dismay and shock at such statements, but take a peak at the titles in the WSO section. Heck, look at people's signatures here.

This ties in to what beloved Pope John Paul II had to say: "Young people are threatened... by the evil use of advertising techniques that stimulate the natural inclination to avoid hard work by promising the immediate satisfaction of every desire."

Tell me that statement is off base ... within this very forum.

Oh please - you're following the wrong wagon.

The dismay is with a poster who has asked this same question different ways in several threads. He's been advised on each thread - and keeps trying to find a way to steal the work product of others. Are you sure you want to argue or excuse his point of view?

I don't think I was arguing his point of view or excusing it. I made a good and valid point. I don't need independent verification of that. I also know it's better to deal with a person from a perspective of charity and understanding than from judgment and condemnation. I don't anyone to back me up on that either! I'm good on these things.

How many threads have you started where the subject matter was about theft of content or trying to game the system somehow?

You should be banned for life...along with your IP address!
