How do you get traffic? I am banned for life

If you do not have much money to invest, then go for free traffic via SEO. It's no the end of the world . Move on to other things. You can also try facebook ads. You can get traffic cheap.

What i think is that SEO is an expensive and long term strategy to go traffic. If you have banned to add links to the signature in this forum. Try connecting more forums too along with this informative forum.
WarriorForum is a great place to learn. I have always used this forum to read useful posts without creating an account even. Recently decided to join it to share my views.

World is open for you. Create a detailed page from where people should get an overview of your product. Then share this link where-ever you go. Some places will ban you while some will not.

If you have a standout squeezepage then I would say for cheap traffic go with Traffic Exchanges.

I get about 20 new list members a week without paying a dime. Just have to work a little harder at it but it is well worth it.

I am sorry you were banned, and I am not trying to be judgmental or rub salt in your wounds.

But think about it. If just a 100 visitors to any forum post primarily to create links, you soon have a forum that is nothing but a slush pile of spam.

I don't care how much you say your comments help, the people who own these forums and want to keep them viable, are looking for a certain kind of pattern, which you are displaying.

The answer is simple: Don't do it. If you really want to join a forum to contribute, leave your signature off. Show the members you are for real.

I know this goes contrary to many who believe they can use forums as a link farm, but think about it.

Again, not trying to be smart. Just giving you another view.

Organic traffic is the best traffic. Simply do some good SEO and you will hopefully get soe good amount of organic traffic. Hope that helps.

You could also register yourself in free indexes. You can get a WFH to do about 200 for $7.

Word of warning though. If you register in unrelated directories, your page will go down in ranking. It happened to me, however the traffic and overall profile were worth the meager outlay.

When forum marketing yo need to provide value and not just spam links, be clever in your marketing, just posting links to offers or affiliate links or whatever is a quick way to get banned!

Take your time build relationships, offer value etc.

Search engine traffic is definitely one way you can get traffic to your site, and it's not as hard as some people make out. It takes a little bit of work to start ranking for the various keywords you want, but in the end it will produce a steady flow of traffic long term to your site.

Other options you can look at include producing a product and recruiting affiliates to promote it to their list. Other free methods include using free 'safe list mailers', finding people with sites that aren't making the most of their internet 'real estate' and doing a JV with them to get a banner advert of your own on there for a share of the profits to them etc etc

Or there are places you can go for really cheap traffic that will clock up your traffic counter but not convert particularly well. This might be of interest if you were selling your site and need to show it has lots of visitors. So it depends what you want if for really.

I guess ultimately lot of it depends on what you want the traffic for. If the traffic you get converts to sales then you can spend money on it as it will ultimately be giving you a return on the money you put out there.

Don't get yourself down if you were banned from one forum.

There are a lot of other ways to get free SEO traffic.....

You can submit a portion of your ebook to document sharing sites.

Blog commenting (without spamming) at related blogs

Build free web 2.0 properties (squidoo,hubpages,tumblr,blogger) and post articles
with your links

Make videos and submit them to the biggest sharing videos sites like youTube,Metacafe,Vimeo e.t.c.

About the forum banning. What I do for some of my niches is make a name for myself first. So I start posting, without a signature, and add a ton of value. When people get to now me, especially the admins, I might try a signature. If I'm really unsure I check with the admin. They then have the choice between saying no and losing your valuable input, or letting this one pass. This worked great for me.

Here is the problem...if you are setting up on forums and from day 1 you are write a ton of info to get your signature out there..it is obvious to the moderators that you are signature spamming...it will not work long-term...

The best thing to do if there is a site out there that could get you traffic is to start posting info, replies, etc WITHOUT a signature...give it some time...prove yourself...then after a while you can add your signature..

yup.. this is how you do it..

you need to prove to the members there as well as the mods that a sig link is not the only thing you are after...

Dont give up on forum marketing just because 1 forum banned you. go back in, be smarter this time. give it some time and reputation before you turn on your sig again. Most forums wont mind the sig once you're established.

I know someone who uses forum marketing as his primary means of traffic. No kidding. and he generates a TON of it. the great thing about it is. Its time consuming upfront but very rewarding once you've established a reputation on the forum....

Another person I know, does forum marketing in the gaming niche under an alias he created. he's been doing it for some time now but guess what, his "alias" is now an established authority in that niche and other people quote him all the time... Imagine that!

I would also avoid pointing my forum link to a squeese page or sales page.

Try to send traffic to a blog instead. Preferably with some personality and not so much sales.
