Please Suggest: Mind-mapping Software?

Just curious about software (desktop and web based) do you guys use when you brainstorm ideas, and need to do some mind-mapping?

I found Mindjet Manager and I think it's cool but it's a bit pricey.

Any other suggestions? It can be desktop or web based, and for PC or Mac machine (because I've both).

I rather use paper and a pen. But if you want to include it for someone, let's say in a WSO? You should go with the site Mick suggested.

I use Mindjet MindManager 9 (desktop based).

If you prefer a free tool, you should checkout Free Mind. That is a good alternative.

  I used to use paper and my notes but as my business grows, I need a software that allows me to share and collaborate online.

Free mind mapping (and related types) software - WikIT

has a whole huge bunch of 'em.

I've used paid and free mind mapping tool but for me nothing beats
xmind at www.xmind.net

I use Simplemind. There's a free version available in the Mac App Store.

I use FreeMind every day. It's free and awesome.

  Also I like XMind but since I upgraded to Windows 7 I can't get that thing working right...and I don't have the patience to fool around with it and installed it properly. So I just threw it out!

Using the brain is a very cool idea. I like the idea and it has a very powerful free version that you can take with you and share with others you are working on a project with.

  I downloaded and tried a few, and found some really good ones. Now I just need to choose one that works on my Windows, Mac and iPhone.
