Paypal Warning - Over £900 Stolen

Well I had over £900 stolen from my Paypal account a few days ago.

In two seperate transactions and using two identitys these people took £484 and £456 from my Paypal account.


On this occasion I have to say Paypal acted quickly and are currently in the process of reversing the transactions and refunding the money.


So please keep an eye on your Paypal account daily as you have to act quickly to make sure you can get your money back.

    Thanks for the heads up Ricky, but how did this happen? Did they hack your account and withdrew money or did they use your account to make purchases?

      Thay claimed they had performed a web service for me (PRETTY VAGUE HUH) and somehow took the payment.

      I guess they somehow hacked into my account to do this,

      My Paypal details can only be seen by me and are kept safe but they managed it somehow.

      Of course I have since changed my password etc but for a while I was darned worried and it leaves you feeling is anything really safe.

    i get so many fake email asking to log in to my paypal account,
    when click the link you see HTTP is not paypal but some other website but the login page look the same as the one that paypal use

    did you egt message like that and click and log on?

    Did you get an email informing you of this transaction? Or did you just get lucky to log in at the right time and see it?
