Is there anything someone can do in 2 weeks with $140 in their pocket? This is a hypothetical scenario.

    Perhaps a car title loan? Or a "pay day loan" LOL

    You're gonna get hammered with "oh do FIVERR" or try to sell this and that. Or "get a squidoo lens and use a slippery reverse sales funnel" and all that, but realistically, two weeks is a fairly short time to get your hands on $500 guaranteed dollars (figuring out what you're going to do, getting the money into PayPal, clearing to your bank, etc.).

    The one suggestion though that MIGHT help is try to head over to the threat where Warriors want to hire you. If your talents can be matched with a job or jobs, you MIGHT be able to complete the work to standard and get paid in the requisite amount of time.

    And of course, find the thread called "what do to when you're desperate" lol I'm sure somebody is going to drop that one on you, too.

        Well selling assets is actually never good...it puts you more in the hole in the long run (should you want to get those assets back one day to maintain your standard of living) -- but it works for the short term: your bills get paid.

        But that's a band aide because there's always more bills around the corner.

          You're exactly right. Selling your assets will only dig you deeper into the inevitable "hole." I will certainly read that forum post, albeit it doesn't pertain to my current dilemma.

          I am faced with a much bigger issue. Not bills, not food, but the I..R..S

            Well if you're due to pay the I.R.S. $500.00 in two weeks, you have a couple more options.

            However those options are incumbent upon the circumstances. What is it? Was there an I.R.S. judgement against you and this is a one of many more payments due to them? Is this just back taxes that you owe back without a judgement yet in place? A non-judicial payment agreement between you and the agency?

            It's not possible to foresee what your circumstances here are, but depending on those a simple phone call to your case worker over there might help by getting the payment delayed or rolled over into the next month or quarter. Or just calling the general I.R.S. number and posing a "what if" you don't pay on time question and seeing what the consequences would be in your particular case?

            Barring that, car title loan LOL ...rob Peter to pay Paul :-)

        Honest answer? Get a job as a waiter, or anything else you can find. Very few people make that kind of money in IM in that space of time when they are new to the game.

        Once you've got an income coming in, come back and build up an online business, but don't use it as a solution to money issues just yet.

    If you have skills you could get jobs online that pay through paypal. Link building, article writing, etc...

    Or you could buy about 18 domain names on Godaddy, head over to a domain name forum, and try to sell them for 3x what you paid for each (i.e. you paid $8 for each, try to sell it for $24 each), or ask $100 each and once you sell 5 of them you are all set. This assumes of course you understand domain names and how to pick decent ones that have a chance of selling.

    If you are knew to internet marketing, you can not rely on it to make you hundreds of dollars in a few weeks.

    Try not to put yourself into a position you can not get out of. Get a job that can cover your expenses while you work on your internet marketing business.

    Take a look at the Warriors For Hire section. Checkout what kind of services other people are offering. If you have experience in a service, offer it at a better price. Deliver the highest quality you possibly can.

    Sell SEO to local businesses.

    Walk into businesses that you already searched for in google and could not find,
    or better yet, found only their competitors.

    Tell them how screwed they are because of their lack of web presence and not showing on the first page of Google for terms that they SHOULD be found for.

    I charge $150 up front, and $70 after that monthly.
    I do a tiny bit of keyword research for them, buy a couple of domain names,
    slap up a few sites with them, add a few blogs on blogger and wordpress,
    write one article that's short and post it, and that's it.

    The rest of the time I just make new blogger.com blogs and posts occasionally and
    email the link to the business owner to show I'm " doing stuff "
    and they are on auto-billing plans of $70 per month for pretty much nothing
    but a few posts, and once in a while I'll add something or change something on their main domain sites when they ask.

    Don't have ANY SEO Skills to nail those top ranks in Google ?

    Not a problem. Their are a ton of people that will take the job for you
    for a cut.

    I do this for others all the time.

    IF you want to see how good I am, search up " Clickbank Kickstart " in the WSO section and take a look at some of my Google Domination proof.

    I am currently too busy to take on any outsourced SEO jobs right now,
    but there are tons of people on this forum that can do it for you,
    or you can take a video course like mine to learn the skills and
    get the tools to do it yourself pretty quickly.

    You'll have the cash up front from the businesses, and you tell them that it takes a month or two to see ANY results because that's how google works !
    ( and this buys you some time !! )

    I've never once yet been turned down by a local business when I go in armed with my smartphone, and some keywords I already searched for their business with,
    and found only their competitors.

    They always hate seeing that, and will hand over cash almost immediately to make the problem go away.

    I find laying it all on them heavy, and then saying " I have another business to make a presentation to right now, but I'll come back in an hour and see what you think "
    works perfect for a a closing on the sale.

    Have a website setup for this " service " and provide a paypal button for your service with a $150 trial for one month, then $70 subscription after that.

    Then when you come back to the business an hour later, you give them your card a second time ( with your service website link on it of course )
    and point out the link, and tell them others charge around $500 per month for this same service ( it's the truth ! ) and they should take advantage of your sale price today and lock in the $70 per month or pay more later.

    You only need to land 4 business to have over $500 up front and then make $70 off each per month after that.

    If you are outsourcing the work, give the person doing the work 70% of the money,
    and you work in volume then.
    In this case, You do nothing but talk to the business owner once....
    so either way it's easy cash.

    You will never have trouble getting the work done by someone when
    you have cash to get it done right away.

    You'll have the cash, because you charge a full $150 - $200 up front.

    Like I said, once you show them their competitors popping up in google for
    search terms that THEY should be showing up for on your smartphone....

      Actually I want to start a thread about my service where I provide SEO service to Warriors here, many use the services listed here as bonuses and few outsource the tasks to me. As @venter-lock says, it works well for me, but the challenge is reaching them for asking for work.


      @Ventor-lock , you had shown a great way of offline marketing. In few countries it may not work tho..

    I would suggest that you try to find a product that you can buy for fairly cheap and sell it on e-bay. You may have to take a few risk and flip it but there's no reason why you should'nt be able to earn $500 in two weeks when you already have $140


    Try visiting some little known auction sites if you may be able to buy a few items there and flip them later. Also try free action sites

      Now, I'm not going to give you hypothetical, I'm going "brush over" a method I've been using since May 2011 (I won't reveal the product because this is going to be my 2nd wso)

      It's simple..buy low, sell higher on ebay. I found a product that I buy in batches between $118 and $164 (for each batch) . I make a net profit of $70 to $150 for each batch that I sell.

      For example, I'll order a batch of these products sunday night online or monday morning so they are shipped out on monday....I usually receive them by that wednesday..no later than thursday.

      I put 5 day auctions up..overwhelming majority I do are "buy-it-now"

      I usually sell out within 5 days (and never longer than 7 days)...and mind you, I've sold over 100 of these items since May 2011.

      This works everytime....I've never had a return, nor failed to sell within 1 week.

      I've been marketing on and off the internet for over 17 years and this is the closest method to "guaranteed" money that I've seen.

      It probably won't make you rich and It does take an initial investmest, but it always delivers profits for me.

      Keep an eye out for my next wso.....

    PPS, if it is hypothetical, why are you asking? Do you have a sincere question, and are asking how to turn that into $500 using the $140 as an investment? (You don't need $140 btw. You can do that with $0.).

    A quick thought.....
    You could write a "FREE" short e-book in pdf form "Photo Shop for ____". and ad some related info like "i thought i was the photo shop guru until i read" bla,bla,bla and have links to plr stuff with your paypal

    Then post comments and answer question in forums with your "FREE" Photoshop For DingBats (or what ever)

    I apologize for not giving you a better outline but i'm tired and not thinking quick

    find a good high traffic website and ask them to put a banner ad plugging your affiliate offer for something.

    We do this for our websites and other affiliate offers. With $100 you can get a good spot on a website for a month and bring in some nice traffic and sales. Media buying rocks if you do your research properly.

    Ebay, Craiglist, Fiverr, rake some yards, paint some houses, go deliver pizzas, anything to get the bills paid. When you have bills to pay you can't be really picky. You gotta be a go getter! Get out there and make some money, you seem like a pretty competent guy.

        I have to agree with most people here. The quickest way to generate some cash is with ebay. But do not discount doing online work for offline businesses in the long run. Everyone out there is suffering with money troubles and businesses are no exception. If you can help them, they will pay. Good luck. I hope it works out for you.
