Feedback on WSO idea?

Hey guys, although Im still a newbie Ive lurked here for a while and cant believe the wealth of info that comes in and out on a daily basis....WOW! Anyways I was contemplating if my idea was worthy of a WSO - so any feedback would be great.

We all know Facebook fan pages are becoming very popular...and businesses are all implementing this into their marketing these days. Im a graphic designer and have created about 8 pages so far in the last few months using the TabPress app. Its a fairly easy method and only requires a few steps. Now, most savvy folks could look it up, research it and learn how to do it themselves.....but they also need a proper design to display on the welcome page.

I typically charge clients $200 for a custom welcome page which includes the main welcome graphic and a matching profile pic to accompany it. My service also includes the setup and hosting of the welcome graphic. I was thinking of offering my design service and doing a 50/50 split. Someone gives me the client.....and I build the graphics, upload the image to my hosting server, install the app, and format the page to display the new graphic.

The WSO would include step-by-step instructions and also my design service. Is this worthy of looking into? What do you guys think?Again I know this is a non-traditional WSO but I'm just looking for feedback.....

    ...So the WSO would pretty much be you offering your service? This is not unusual at all, people do it all the time. I say go ahead and run it. Don't focus to much on the fact that you are newer to the forum. As long as you have been providing quality in your time here and have a service that can deliver on whatever you promise, you will get what you deserve. Good luck.

      Hmmm, I see.....thanks guys. Yeah I guess when you boil it down its mainly offering my service. But it also would include a detailed step-by-step on how to build a custom page for those who have access to design software or their own designer.

      I dunno, might not be the right thing to launch as a WSO....again thanks for the feedback fellas.

    From my experience in the offline market and hanging around the offline section of the forum it might be a bit tougher for that than you'd think. I'm not trying to discourage you by any means as it can definitely be done but it's not a passive way to make money by any means.

    Plenty of people can offer a service to offline businesses whether it's mobile websites, SEO, social media help etc. but everyone has a problem finding clients. Nobody wants to cold call businesses which is one of the most effective ways of finding clients.

    My advice would be to work on the lead generation yourself so that you have no ceiling as to how much you could make. The offline forum has a wealth of info so be sure to check that out if that's the route you want to go.

    For doing the 50/50 split you mentioned, you could try looking in to the Joint Venture board as well.
