Just a heads-up:

VeriSign (in charge of .COM and .NET registrations) will be increasing prices on January 15th, 2012 as follows:

.COM will increase 7%
.NET will increase 9.89%

This affects ALL domain registrars.

    haha I know.. I can think of at least 3 that I am just waiting for them to expire.

    But thanks for the heads-up, looks like I'll be renewing the ones I want to keep early.

        It may not bother you if you only have a few, but when you have dozens, hundreds, or thousands of domains, it gets progressively "bothersome" :-)

        If I renew all my domains now, rather than after Jan 15, I'll save in the neighborhood of $2,000.

          That may not be alot - but it adds up if you have quite a few domains.

    (*sarcasm* I must say, I'm immeasurably glad .info's are so cack for SEO. If they weren't, their popularity and resultant scarcity would surely be driving up prices and they'd become even more utterly pointless than they currently are. Long live .com and .net, whatever their cost. :p)

      Don't look now, but if they keep increasing in price every year they'll soon be on a par with average Hull house prices, according to what I just read in another thread ...

    I have 63 domains, and I have set 9 of them to expire in the next year.

    So it will cost me roughly $55 if I don't act now.

    That should put Gene's domain holdings into focus, shouldn't it? :p
