OK, I've seen a lot of cool YouTube Channel bling, like this one - http://www.youtube.com/user/compellingtv?feature=chclk, but I've never seen this before.

Anyone know how this guy:

Added a clickable banner to his website above the video?
How he added the big Sub Scribe graphic?
How he listed his dealerships in the lower left?

Not sure exactly how to do those things, but you can find somebody on Fiverr to hook it up for you I'm sure.

  Honestly, I think what's more interesting is that he was able to take a subject I'm not really all that interested in and got me to watch through the whole video. Now that's cool.

The banner is a perk of a partner. You can upload a graphic and set an image map i.e link hotspots on the image.

The subscribe graphic is part of the background. I have similar on my YT channel.

The dealerships are just "boxes" - a feature open to everyone to link to other favourite channels. It's in the options somewhere.

I wouldn't bother being interested. Google are due to roll out the new channel design which kills everyones channel design and expanse for customization.

Yeah he is a Youtube partner, only Youtube partners are able to have things like this on their page. To become a Youtube partner you have to have a certain number of views, subscribers, and an overall positive rating. You also have to apply to become a partner, but don't try unless you have at least around 1500 subscribers and about at least 100k-200k views.

  Ya, I saw in the code that it was an image map, but didn't know it was available only to partners. I was offered a "partnership" but never pursued it. Thanks for all the info. I really appreciate it.
  
  Anyone have any insight on the time frame for this new channel design?
  
  It always kills me when Twitter widened, YouTube rolled out a change a while back, etc. It blows the past work away most of the time!

Dude just send him a message and tell him what business you are in
( so he'll know you're not a competitor ) and ask for their YouTube
designer's name. They'll likely be more than happy to give it to
you.

Then you can talk - may find is cheaper to let him do it for you
or at least find out how it is done.

I think I/we solved this mystery.

It's an image mapped banner that YouTube let's "partners" put on their channel.

The Subscribe graphic is just part of the background image.

The dealerships are just YouTube channels he favorited with the new feature of YouTube.
