A Video of Inspiration to all Warriors and anyone for that matter !!
His name is Jimmy Elliot. He was a star basketball player I looked up to when I was in Middle school and he was in high school. He was a friend of my brother's in the Class of '80. And went on to star at Tennessee Tech in the 1980's.
He came down with stomach cancer and fought courageously for a couple of years with it. During that time he would write a couple of times each week in a journal at Caring Bridge to let others know of his battle with cancer. Even when he was in the worst of conditions he did this.
This video was made two days before being sent home from the hospital for hospice care; the finality of terminal cancer. He died less than two weeks later after making the video.
I refer to this video whenever I get upset or caught up in the Earthly things that in the end dont mean squat !! Money, homes, cars, Christmas gifts etc...You all know what I am talking about.
Maybe it might move a few of you. Maybe not. But this man knew he was about to die ,and the strength and mindset he had to make this video in spite of knowing his destiny should make you wonder about God's strength and the Power he can have in all of us !!
