Hi All,

Anyone ever come across John Stone Fitness - Welcome! ? (not an affiliate link)

This guy is making a killing online and it all started from a simple idea. Long story short he felt he was fat so decided to lose weight. He made a website for his progress and simply took a picture of his progress every single day and updated his site by 9am in the morning.

Check out his pics - awesome.

His site evloved into showing what he was doing to lose his weight etc and with the daily picture updates it spread virally through word of mouth. People became intrigued and b4 he knew he was getting surges of traffic to check out his stories and pictures daily.

That surge in traffic meant he cleverly monetized his site and is now making a killing.

    Hi Baal,

    Thanks for the heads up - it's an interesting example.

    Slightly off-topic, but seeing the transformation pics makes me wonder why people go from one extreme to the other? He looks bad in both sets of photos. Why not stop somewhere in the middle?

    Cheers, I'll have a read of his forum and see what I think ( in terms of health AND business ideas).

      Yes now he is to muscly but if u look at his daily pics i know where i'd stop and maintain.

      but forget his bodyshape - look at his monetisation. A simple idea turned into a money spinning venture.

      I've been a member of that forum for quite awhile.

      I don't know if he is "making a killing", I'm sure he's doing very well with it,
      but there are some things he could do to really increase the earnings. I guess he's just not interested in doing so at this point.

        I agree Josh - there are many other ways he can improve his monetisation but his simple idea has turned into a business for him doing what he loves doing.

    I've actually started something similar this year on my personal site. It's a smaller niche and I don't have any major monetization plans yet, but it's near and dear to my heart.

    Later this year we're planning to move to some raw land and live off grid. We're going to experiment with self sustainability and homesteading, so I'm documenting the progress as I go.
