It seems legit and all, but the sender's email, is something like l..ar4841@msn.com and that obviously is not hotmail or MSN's official email. Plus, hotmail will never ask you to give them your user name and password like this.

There is a lot of this kinds of activity is going on at this time of the year, so never open a link from somebody who you do not know and if in some cases its from a company you may be dealing with, always hover over the link to see where the actual URL points to, or simply contact the company using their actual contact info on their site (not by replying to these fake emails) to see if they did actually emailed you.

Also, you may want to read Bill's (TPW) thread where he warns about the new fake email from The Better Business Bureau.

I think this one is funny. It's like phoning someone and then saying "who is this" when they answer.

If YOU just emailed me, you have my address, don't ya? If people fall for this one, they'll fall for anything. That's a list that could be profitable....

      Exactly Kay!

But, the sad thing is though, a lot of us do fall for these things. So, I think the more we talk about this stuff and have it out there, the more people would know about it and hopefully the more people would realize its a scam.
