As a first time CB vendor, how do I contact the super affiliates for a JV?

As the title says, is there anywhere good to put up launch posts, and any specific ways to contact super affiliates for a JV? I'm investing quite a bit into the launch of my product, mainly in design and copywriting (creating the product mainly myself, with a bit of paid help).

My goal is to get at least 20-30 super affiliates on board, plus many other smaller guys. Even more would be better But of course, this wont be possible unless I can contact them directly to discuss the opportunity.

Oh is that all you want? Anything else on the shopping list?

You will find it very hard to get 'Super Affiliates' on board if your plan is to just contact them out of the blue like this. There are tons of products out there they can promote so why are they going to choose yours over any other? What's in it for them, and no, I don't mean commissions because every product offers commissions.

If your answer is "because my product actually works" or "my product converts like crazy" they have heard it all before. If you want people to promote your product then you need to develop some relationships with them and this takes time. Before you ask something of these people you should get on their radar by first doing something for them. Think about it, would you just walk up to a random stranger on the street and expect them to do you a favor? No. Online is no different.

If you just got at it willy nilly then I'm afraid you are not going to get very far at all.

      What he said.^

Also 20-30 super affiliates for your first launch is honestly a little beyond your reach. How are you going to incentivize them to promote your product...still possible.

Try building some rep first with a real solid product and let it do it's own speaking.

Sounds like you're in dreamland mate. You want 20 - 30 'super affiliates' on board? If you can reciprocate with your huge and responsive email list, have about $20k availble for prizes and have hired the services of a top copywriter, graphic designer and video editor, along with having a proven sales funnel, then you may have a chance of getting some big affiliates on board. If not then keep on dreaming, fella.

I'm afraid this is absolutely right. The deciding factors for "those guys" are typically vendor reputation and trading history, a professional sales page, a proven high conversion-rate and a record for always having one, a professional sales funnel, and so on.

But congratulations for getting your first product accepted and on the market, and best wishes for the long and interesting learning-curve ahead.

Start promoting their product launches and try to turn up in the top ten leaderboard. It's not the easiest way but it'll defo get their attention.

To get the attention of super affiliates in the make money niche you do need to quite a few things, as these guys are very busy not only developing their own products, but also promoting other people's.

All the advice on this thread is sound, but the best way by far is to promote their products, and attempt to get on the top10 leaderboards, as James has said. This not only gets their attention, but also earns you some nice affiliate commission to fund your next launch as well.

Never say never. To get their attention however, you have to be creative.

I was talking to Joel Therien (GoGVO), I think Willie Crawford was with us and a bunch of other good marketers at some bar and I remember the topic came round to the crazy ways people used to get our attention.

There were some funny stories, including people who sent pizza and random gifts in order to get attention (they did because it was just so unusual). There were also interesting stories like those who consistently posted good comments on their blogs, got their attention.

Think differently or think consistently and it can happen.

    Never say never.

There was a time when having to have a super affiliate promote your product was necessary. However, there are many new platforms and the required "hoop jumping" is far less extensive. A super affiliate can send an email to 40,000 people, however, you can also find 10 jv partners that have a list of 4,000 that can bring you the same result and are more friendly to work with and do not cost so much in terms of commission you would have to pay. I specialize in helping people find affiliates of this kind and do not even try to deal with super affiliates.

Would you elaborate on how you would go about doing the above with no track record. In fact, if you're for real, you should write this technique up as a WSO. It would kick butt.

Yeah, you're right. But if you could actually show people how to assemble 10 JVs each with a targeted list of 4000, I have a feeling it would do just dandy.

Oh yes, I come from the spirit world. I am not even certain myself if I am real...better pinch myself to see. No track record!? Oh, I didn't know you were the "Track Record" cop. So, first I do not exist and as it stands to reason, I therefore cannot have a track record.

The suggestion I gave is a specialty of mine. Just because you are unaware or no one has shown you their "track record" doesn't mean it doesn't exist. A WSO!? I guess those solve all the worlds problems, don't they.

A person asked a question on obtaining super affiliates and I simply gave an opinion I hoped would be helpful and serve as thoughtful consideration. That is what the WF is all about. I didn't know you were waiting in ambush for a response that you disagree with or have no awareness of.

As DK wrote, one of my favorite tactics for getting the attention
of JV partners that I don't know is to send them a gift. My favorite
gift is a box of brownies, using the Send Out Cards system, where
I also enclose a greeting card with my JV proposal on it, including
the url of a pitch page.

My thinking there is that as they eat the brownies, and feel good,
they read my cards, and will at least consider it. Not everyone will
say yes, but enough do to make it worthwhile.

You can do the same thing sending them a copy of a great
book, with a personalized note, or something that relates to
one of their interests. I use Send Out Cards because I can
actually send the same gift/pitch to dozens of target JV partners,
personalizing each one as the card is printed/packages. The
    system will mailmerge.

James Penn has a nice WSO where he shares some methods that
he uses very effectively for recruiting super affiliates.

The rule is to make friends before you need help. Friends like
helping each other, but you need to "dig your well before you're
    thirsty!"

Getting super affiliates is "almost" impossible when you're a newbie.

But if you launch excellent products that sell well, super affiliates will
notice. Some will even promote you without the need to contact them
    specially in CB.

Here's one advice, before you go for a big CB launch, do a WSO first and
use WSOPro. It shows stats where a lot
    of affiliates look at.

After a successful WSO, go do the CB launch but
use JVnotifyPro and list your launch date.

Before you contact super affiliates, launch a successful product first.

It will make it so much easier when you have some success under your belt.

20 - 30 'super affiliates' is doable but far from easy. Firstly you'll need a good product, most 'super affiliates' will need to see a review copy so if it's rubbish they won't promote.

Once you've got a good product it's a good idea to send some paid traffic to it first to get your stats up. If you can prove to the person you want to promote your stuff that you have a good product that converts you're half way there.

Then you'll need to make sure your commission structure is right and there's also so other incentives like a competition with a cash prize for the most amount of sales in the first seven days or something like that.

After that you've got to get creative, there's some good ideas in this thread, there's also a few good WSO's on the subject. These are not affiliate links although I have promoted them.

Depends on the affiliate, I class 'super affiliates' in two general categories. There are varying degrees of each but you get the gist.

List burners - These have such large amounts of traffic they don't care about their list because for every unsubscribe, 2 or more join up. They blast their list with offers until the prospect either buys or unsubs

Relationship builders - These care about their list, they build a relationship, review every product they recommend, send them lots of free stuff and answer all of the questions that come their way.

When recruiting affiliates I like to air on the side of caution and make sure I have a quality product. It's still no guarantee but it helps

Adrien, you need to focus on selling your product before you can get super affiliates on board. Numbers talk. Once you're making sales, you will be able to calculate your overall conversion rate, earnings per click, and details about your demographic. Super affiliates want these numbers.

So, get to work on marketing and advertising your product Recruiting affiliates will come after that. Keep in mind that even then it is very challenging to get big ones on board. 20-30 is extremely ambitious. Just build relationships and make great offers to them.

If your product is good, make sure you have a great sales page, and put some decent tools/resources together such as articles, images, videos and graphics that affiliates can use in the promotion of your product.
