Biting the Warrior's hand that feeds you...

Not so long ago an up and coming Warrior was kicking some
butt on this forum. He was making money, making others money
and helpful to other Warriors (thanked more than 1000 times).

The year he was on the forum he made great friends,
and learned from incredible mentors. He soon gained the
respect of his clients and teachers...

Then it happened

As all of us go through, tragedy veered its attention on his
life and set forth a chain of tests he would need to endure.

This Warrior first dealt with the loss of his mother whom was
so important to him... then soon after a betrayal from
within his coveted marriage.

If only he diverted his attention to the piling work load from
trusting clients, maybe he could get through it...

Instead he shut down the machine. He became a ghost that
nobody could find. Complaints started brewing and bubbling
over into public realm.

His Warrior friends were trying to figure out what the hell
was going on. Emailing him "PLEASE contact me. Are you okay?"

Deafening silence was all they got

He deleted his profile and blamed this forum (as we all like
to blame anyone or anything for our problems). He cut
ties with his mentors and friends and skidded into a
dark abyss.

After several months he finally started crawling out of
his personal exile and started working on his offline
marketing business... and visiting here under an alias to
keep up on things.

After more than a year he is ready to start again. He wants
to start from ground zero and build a magnificent structure.

He's finally happy and has the fire again

The moral of this story is to not be afraid to take a breath,
and more importantly embrace those who care about you.

Many friends can be made here and they all bring something
of value to your life. Don't be afraid to reach out as they
likely have dealt with what you are going through.

This Warrior is me and I have one last thing to share with
you that I learned from billion dollar copywriter, Ted Nicholas.

Affirmations. Everyday when you are getting ready to
start working yell out loud- "today is going to be a great day!",
"today I will be better than I was yesterday!", "I'm going
be successful and nothing can stop me!".

It's vital you yell it out as it engages your mind. You should
also smile more as it tricks your mind into a state of
happiness. These have helped me through my personal
Holocaust and it will help you too.

Success first starts in the mind

Thank you for your valuable time

Paul

I don't know you but Welcome Back and that was a pretty interesting read.

You don't hear many people spilling it like that.

Were you able to make amends with the people you mentioned?

    Good Luck

Thanks Joe. Yeah, most have been beyond kind and forgiving
of my actions. It still a healing process, but its healing.

Hi Paul, I agree with your last statement "Success first starts in the mind"

choose the words you write, you speak and you share.. its all about the power of words...

and many people will tell you what you should become. The truth is, you shape yourself. Listen to others, but believe in yourself! When you are easeful & peaceful, then you can be useful. Otherwise, you may even harm rather than help the situation..

My best wishes Paul, i too have had probably the worst year of my life but I will drive through it......."whatever does not kill you, makes you stronger" is one of my favourite quotes and helps me along in the hardest times. Keep going my friend and never ever be defeated.

Paul, although I never had the pleasure of getting to know you, I am so glad that you found your way back. I know how difficult it must all have been since I too have been through some difficult times during the past two years.

My mother died, then my father went completely off the rails (they had been married for 60 years). This necessitated several international trips. then my grand daughter was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome (a heartbraking affliction) , so more international trips. In between everything I developed an ulcer followed by 3 bouts of pneumonia. And to put icing on the cake, my husband has just lost his job and our savings have been eaten up by a combination of all the travel and funding my granddaughters various therapies.

But what the heck, I am alive and healthy and will find a way to survive and to become successful.

Every experience, no matter how bad it may seem at the time, is a learning experience that will help make the future easier.

    I wish you every success.

Here is a quote to possibly read.

Thank you for posting this...I'm sure a lot of people will get inspiration from it.

I'm currently going through my own healing journey so understand what you mean by crawling out of that dark abyss. If we allow ourselves to give in to those dark thoughts that our life sucks and is meaningless, we will simply stop living with purpose and stagnate.

Affirmations are a great way to begin the healing process. I'm glad you are back on track and have renewed energy and hope for your daily life and future.

    God Bless

    Hey Paul-
It is stories like yours that can help people see the light. Sometimes the world can get pulled over our eyes, and we look around and say to ourselves what's the point? I think that is what's so great about this forum and the internet in general. We can help others that are struggling, and we don't even have to be in the same area. let 2012 be an awesome year for every Warrior on this forum, and their families too!

    Hello Paul,

Life, they say, is what happens when you make other plans.

All of us go through those very trying times, but you proved that no matter what happens, you didn't end with those circumstances controlling you. You came through them and you're back again.

I did not know you before, as I have not been here all that long. But thanks for the reminder that what we go through can be overcome and even make us stronger.

Like others here in the forum, I have had my own share, with my father dying, a direct hit by a hurricane, a sister with failing health who needs a kidney and a liver transplant, a wife with recent surgery, etc., all this year. But there have also been blessings, with the birth of another grandson, opportunities to reconcile relationships, more business opportunities, and many, many more.

    Good to see you.

The point of this thread is that I was not such a great guy... I
allowed my external circumstances to screw around other
      people's businesses.

Was my situation horrible? Yes, but the choice to disappear
into oblivion was inexcusable. I got a lot of heat over it and
I deserved it. I did not even explain my situation, I just
issued refunds on already delayed projects.

Unprofessional and almost ruined what I love to do so much-
      help others become more successful.

If you let problems get behind you, and you have problems
in front of you; you get squished.

In online marketing your rep is VERY important. Don't
screw it up because it is hard to get back.

      Hi Paul,

I haven't the honor of knowing you personally. I just read your story and only can say: Cheer up!

As far as I can assume - based on your photo - you're so young, the majority of your life is yet to follow. When someone sorely tried, not easy to stand up and move on.

But it should be! Challenges are there to make you stronger than you were before.

Life goes on, new days, challenges, successes, and new friends are waiting for you. Bear in mind, everything can be solved more easily with the help of your friends. You just need to avoid what is in your thread title, hey ...

It's an encouraging sign that you have returned here. And ... I'm sure, there comes a time when you find the woman with whom you can start a new life.

I wish you many successes in your business and life...

      As your friend,

      Sandor
