New Niches

I am googling for new web sites, blogs, networks etc. Is there a quick way to see if one is worth bothering with i.e how many viewers or readers it has?
With forums, I look at how many members, messages, frequency of posts. How about other sites, blogs and networks? :-)

    I'm not sure if this is what you're after, but alexa.com provides traffic and ranking information for websites that you enter in their search box.

    My niche is 'Spirituality'. I want to syndicate my WP blog on Spiritual sites etc. I am googling for 'Spiritual' web sites, blogs, networks etc. Is there a quick way to see if ones coming up are worth bothering with i.e how many viewers or readers it has?

      I'm also in the same niche as you are and yes it's take a little more work to dig up just the right websites.

      I would suggest you hit up Facebook and check out similar fan pages and follow up on their websites - this way you see which sites are more current and trending by the vibe you get. Also Twitter might be useful.

    As someone else suggested already, alexa ranking may be an indication of traffic. google PR checker is also another way of evaluating website popularity/traffic.

    For traffic stats, there is a website.. statbrain dot com that can give you traffic stats to any website you want to check.

    If you are looking to build links, definitely want to check the page rank as the higher PR websites offer more value to your links.
