YouTube Update Affecting 'Fake' Views!

Anyone have any info on this? I've been using Vagex and Viewet as part of my YouTube ranking strategy and now the new YouTube update made it so these services won't work.

I'd also assume that views from most Fiverr gigs won't work either.

Hopefully these view networks can figure something out. In the mean time anyone know of other options that still work? I just promised a client I'd get his video ranking quickly and without the views my strategy won't work anymore.

  • Rule no.1... never promise a client anything... You can't control things that are not in your 'control'. Give them an idea of possible results.. or what you 'hope' to achieve... but never promise them. IM and SEO is an uphill struggle and you never know when the wind will change direction.

    That's why you always have a backup plan...or just not use shady tactics to run your business. I'm sure these networks will figure out Youtube's new requirements that would constitute a "view" and then work to game the system again. Why do that though, and end up talking about the same thing when the next update comes?

    • Exactly. Go for real views or this will keep happening. Build a house on stilts and you know the rest.

      I'm glad Youtube have made those fake views irrelevant. It's about time.

      Although others say those companies will find a way around the changes, Youtube will keep trying to find a way to stop them so it's a never ending battle and not worth your time.

      It's like those that rely on a page 1 Google ranking for their entire business model and then complain when Google do an update and they drop to page 10 and their business goes down the drain. Dah!
