Please critique my Youtube marketing video

I have created a Youtube video to drive traffic to an Amazon monetized niche site. This is my first attempt at doing so.

I would appreciate any insights you might have, either into the video or the landing page. If you could refer me to videos or sites that do a better job, I would love to have a look at those.

I used Camtasia and PowerPoint to make the video.

I am going to embed the video into some related pages that have consistent search engine traffic, to increase the video's views on Youtube. Will views improve the video's prominence on Youtube?

I actually liked it. It wasn't what I was expecting. Usually when I see these top 5 or top 10 videos they are cheesy just with music. I like the way you describe the different mice and give your recommendation. I think the Powerpoint presentation was clean and I liked the background.

What I had trouble with is the sound. I am using laptop speakers and your voice was on the tinny side and a little muffled and clipped. If you had better sound I think at least for me the video would be perfect.

Ye that's a fair point. I am using a Logitech headset, not a microphone. The sound I am able to produce with it isn't great.

Nice job. Your video is good.

A few things that need your attention:

    1. The URL you are asking people to visit is too long. It is a bit of a hassle to type it in with all the dashes.
    2. You don't leave a lot of time for the person to really catch the full url at the end. After you stop talking at the end of the video, let the video play for another 5-10 seconds with the same slide so people have time to type in your website into their browser's address bar.
    3. You don't end it off with a good enough reason for someone to go checkout your website. Or maybe, it is just not clear enough. What is stopping your youtube viewers from taking the list of products you have in your youtube video and typing it into Google?

I'm sure he's going to place the URLs in the description. Or not?

the video is very informative but I suggest that you shorten the URL because it is too long

James, overal I think the way you created your video is very good and I definately learned a good amount of information about gaming mice.

However I do have some suggestions to improve your video.

1 - Have some call-to-actions in place. You provide the URL but why do I want to click your URL? You could say something like "Get the best gaming mice on sale here". or "Click the Link to the Left to get these Gaming Mice on Sale Today".

2 - Optimize your video for your targetted key phrase. What are you trying to rank for? If it is "Top 5 Gaming Mice" then include that in your tags by inserting the phrase with "these quotes" around it to have it appear as a phrase instead of individual words.

My making these little changes you can definately see improvements in your rankings as well as your sales conversions.

    All the best,

    Paul

    1. Get a better mic

    2. Shorten the link

otherwise the presentation itself kicked ass. now close this threads before I make a slick vid and steal all your sales

The audio in this video is pretty bad. I can't tell if you need a better microphone OR your accent is too heavy. I would go to Fiverr and pay someone to edit it.

    Overall it is great.

    I would recommend:

    - improve sound
    - a more clear call to action
    - also, you do not mention how you optimize title, description, tags etc. which are very important too.

    Good luck!

I think the video is ok. but you're going after gamers. I think you should make an entry transition that has flair. Gamers are into graphics. You can get a free trial of Cyberlink, it's like Camtasia but it has really cool transitions and other graphics. Much more than Camtasia. I use both and I make fancy transitions,, like fire burning up my text, wanna see?
