How can you talk about SEO when they Clickbomb you ?

I was trying to talk about my site. Apparently this is a bad idea, a few people have said not to link the site or talk about the niche?

I grew suspicious when some posters with thousands of posts had no sig.


Then today I find that I have been the victim of clickbombing. Someone from this site has visited my site and clicked dozens of Ads.

This sort of hostility is aweful.

How can you talk about SEO when you can't mention anything specific?

      I was posting in that forum, Jill. But someone, either a poster or a Lurker, decided to attack me and click bomb my site. I wanted opinions from others.

        There's no reason to be suspicious of that. I don't have a sig currently as I have nothing to promote to IMers. I'm not working in the IM niche - I don't look for writing work here. I know some others are the same.

        The reason we say don't reveal your sites is that there are thousands of members here. Some are marketers, some are beginners, some are looking to take anything they can get. For a standard blog or sites it's not a problem but for an adsense or affiliate site it can be a risk to reveal your niches.

        The WF is like a small town. There are a lot of really good people here - but also some you wouldn't want to hang with. That shouldn't surprise anyone.

          What I meant when I said suspicious was that i suspected it was unsafe to post my link. If others, who have lots of posts dont post their link, they must know something I don't.

          I have already reported it too Google.

          Who would do this? Pure malicious intent. Some anonymous and angry person. Assuming they understood that this could cause me a problem.

            Some people are just assholes.

            A small minority of people in this forum might even tell you that I am an asshole. :p

            I have never had a problem as a result of linking any of my websites in my signature, here at the Warrior Forum.

    If I was you I would report it to google, your own site that is, its better to lose a bit of coin that have your entire adsense account closed.

    It would be a good idea to keep your websites out of the loop. Unless you have something that relates to internet marketers on this forum, you should not use your sig.

    If you wanted opinions from other people about your website, you can take a screenshot of it and blank out the urls using photoshop or paint.
