I have one more question before I launch my first product on clickbank.

Most of the ebook was scanned from a course I bought in the mid 90's. The company went out of business a while back - I know because still in contact with someone who worked there. Even though most of it is left the way it was, it is original because I updated it etc.

Do I tell clickbank this when I have them review it.

What about the sales page?

Thank all for what you do.

How can taking someone else's work and you typing a few changes make it original?

I am really sorry if I sound harsh but this is blatant theft unless the book has Private Label Rights. It does not matter if the company is out of business or not. There is still copyright on that book.

There was never copyright on the course - This is what I was told by 2 people that worked for the company. One of them told us to copy it and sell it because you cannot copyright basic principals concerning the content.

I think they have it wrong. Any substantial work created by someone automatically falls under copyright law - it's not something they have to 'get'. I would advise strongly against copying the entire content or even parts of the course.

Clickbank won't go anywhere near a product like this and if they find out later the product has been comprised using someone else's content then you risk losing all the money you have earnt.

If you want to sell it then take some time to at least have it re-written so the whole work is original. It might cost you a little money to have this done by a good ghost writer however if the content of the course is good then this is an investment not an expense.

I am sure Sexy Sue & snickbox666 did not read anything...

      This is how I feel:

      1. You could get away with it
      2. That still doesn't make it 'right'
      3. It's easy to make an original

Never try to break Clickbanks (or anyones) T&Cs - or the law for that matter. It is NOT worth it and it will catch up with you in some way or another. On the other hand, if you have permission to sell the exact content from the producer - what's the problem? Go for it!

I could not have put this better myself. By even thinking about selling this product, and passing it off as your own, you have just started walking down a slippery slope.

Ask yourself a question before you submit it to Clickbank, would I be happy if someone did this to me? If you answer no, then do not submit it, simple as that really.

And I thought, links in signature were forbidden. Quite a risk there buddy.

Anyway, you should review it and be honest. Playing tricks, hiding in shadows and this kind of attitude won't work in internet MLM, but at least, you can change a nick, if something doesn't work out.

      Cheers.

Clickbank constantly reviews its products. You might be able to get away with it now, but sooner or later they can suddenly remove your product if they find it unsuitable. I guess clickbank has really started cracking down hard on scammy products.

The copyright was created when the document was. You can't just scan it and use it. I hope this isn't a real question. Damn.
