How to find a long lost product?

Does anyone know where to look for products that aren't selling anymore. I have looked high and low for this product: "The Banner Advertising Traffic Machine" but with no success. If anyone has any information regarding this product... or something similar (banner advertising course) please PM me - thank you.

It looks like this one is long gone.

"Scott Covert's new book "The Banner Advertising Traffic Machine" is available at http://www.banneradmagic.com -- it teaches you how to create an entire Internet business model around banner advertising."

The link does not work (for me) and I'm sure that you have already found and tried it and also found the telephone and email address, but I've quoted them below just in case.

Scott is available for private one-on-one banner advertising consultation and complete design services. Phone 1-705-749-2225 or email scott@banneradmagic.com

Naturally, I have not tried to email or phone him.

    Regards,
    Jeff.

I did! Left him a voicemail but who knows what will happen with that. Really looking to get my
hands on a banner type product. I don't know of any others that exist.

When you say a banner type product, could you be a little more specific please? This will enable warriors to give a more informed response.

Many warriors, including myself, have facilities available for creating banners. Is this what you are looking for, or is there more to it and I am barking up the wrong tree?

        Regards,
        Jeff.

Right, sorry... No, not looking for a banner creation product but rather a course that teaches you the "ins and outs" of banner advertising (preferably with test data)... i.e. how to negotiate the rate card, CTRs to expect, best position, ad copy, best design practices, etc... all the juicy stuff that's supposed to be in that book I can't anywhere

Banner advertising, as I'm sure that you know, is far less effective today than it was several years ago. This is probably because these days, people generally expect a banner to take them to an ad and most people don't like to be pitched.

That's not to say that they don't work, but because they are less effective than they were, is probably the reason why there is limited information now available on to how to use them to best effect and including the kind of detail that you seek.

I have a lot of information on my hard drives that I have accumulated over the years which I have rights to and which I re-write, update and revitalise from time to time. Strangely enough, I have not been able to find anything relating to banners.

If I do find anything in the vein that you are looking for, I'll PM you with a link to download it. Meantime, good luck with your search.

    Regards,
    Jeff.

You will want to look at Google's graphics ads feature too.

I haven't tested it but I bet the same strategies that get
more response with small space ads in newspapers will
work in banner ads too; in particular turning a square ad
into a round one with blacked-out space around it.
