Interesting And Creative Spam Message

Just opened an email saying my bank account was frozen. I wasn't sweating it but checked it anyway. This was actually pretty well done.

There was the FDIC logo along with a message saying new security software was necessary to access my acount. Then there was a link so I could get the software. And the link pointed to. Drumroll.....

A site selling software.

I wonder how many people will fall for this as it's a new one (on me anyway) and looked fairly legit.

This actually took some creativity. Imagine what the creator of this scam could do if they went legit.

Wow, you're right, that takes all the skills needed!

Though, I guess there's not a real product behind the scenes... Or maybe they sell you some malware!?

Actually, I landed on a page that had bank security software for sale. Now, it might have been anything but to go to all that trouble... Geez. They also had other software available on their home page.
