Set up website using Namecheap domain and Byethost hosting - so close but no cake...

Hello everyone! I have a really quick question and hoping someone can help me. I'm a design graduate who's failed at getting a job so decided I needed to have an online portfolio. Fast forward to today - made my website, registered with Byethost for the hosting and Namecheap for the domain name.

Did everything properly and my site is showing up on my generic (dodgy looking) Byethost URL that I get for free and works well. But even after I added my domain to my Byethost account, and went into my Namecheap account and added the 5 Nameservers Byethost gave me, it's still not showing up on my domain name. I double and triple checked I did it properly, and have no idea what else I can do.

I know the site works because it shows up on my Byethost URL. I know I put the nameservers in because they show up in Namecheap. I know I added my domain like I was supposed to in Byethost. Not sure what else to do.

If you have any ideas or if anyone has been in the same situation and could help me that would be amazing !!

Could possibly be a couple of issues. When you first add the webserver address to dns, it takes from a couple of hours to a day or so for it to update all the other internet name servers with the address of your new website.

Secondly, the address of the website might be cached on your local computer to the original address namecheap used when you bought the domain. Easiest way to fix that is to just restart your computer and then see if it works. If not, wait until tomorrow morning and see if it's resolving correctly.
