How to use Yahoo Answers for traffic/SEO?

Hi all,

I've seen a number of threads which have included suggestions on using Yahoo Answers as a way of driving traffic. I've had a look, but it appears that you're unable to add links in the questions or answers. Is this correct?

Thanks,

Jodie

Get the answer straight from the source:

Yahoo! Answers » Blog Archive » When to add links to your answers

    2. Add specific links where the user can find ADDITIONAL information. Link to existing sources that have the answer to the question. If you know an excellent website or book that might help, mention it - as long as it's not spam of course. Also cite your sources; they are always helpful if anyone wants more information.
    3. Users are more than welcome to share their Facebook, Twitter or personal blogs, but these links should be shared only on your personal profile page. Personal links should not be posted into answers or questions.
    Hope that helps!

I can't speak personally on the links; but I can on the quality of the traffic. Users of Yahoo Answers are just...they're horrible. Fun to troll though!

Invest your time in finding more targeted traffic that has a chance of actually using whatever it is you offer/plan to offer.

You can add related link into the source field. You will get 2 points after each answer. In this way when you will reach 250 point then you can get hyperlinked URL. Best way to read the policy of Yahoo Answers. You will get other more information about terms and condition. But it really helps in SEO specially to optimize Yahoo.

You can also buy Level 2 (250 points) Yahoo Answers accounts on fiverr. Level 2 allows you to post live (clickable) links in the source. Don't overdo though, or your account will get suspended. Your ratio of link to no link answers should be at least 50/50.
