Ready to chalk this 1 up as a failure

I have a website that is rank in top 3 results, it is based around 1 product and I am receiving consistent traffic everyday. In the past 2 months I have only received 2 unrelated sales via this website.

If anyone wants to take a look at this website for me, it would be greatly appreciated. The review is based on Dan Brock Dead Beat Super Affiliate style.

here is the website Don't Buy The Husqvarna 450 Chainsaw Until You Read This !

If anyone see's something that I don't see. Any advice is appreciated. Thanks in advanced.

I always prefer a button over "Click Here" text...

It seems to me that the buy now button should be located at the top.

It took me a while to even see it at the bottom...

Maybe it's because i'm in the UK but I just googled "Husqvarna 450 chainsaw" and you're not on the first two pages.

Agree with gjabiz as well. Doesn't look like a site that i'd trust. Maybe look at making the site look more professional.

        @gjabiz

Do you have any suggestions or recommendations for me for better marketing of physical products like this? I am ready to put in the work and I feel I am right their I just cant seem to find a winner ? Or just find something that people are more willing to buy online than chainsaws ?

        @Benjam1n

try searching husqvarna 450, I did not optimize for chainsaw

    Chris,

It is a thinly veiled AD...and people are just too savvy these days for this...this kind of deception works with IM products, and maybe MLM products...

But, you are competing with REAL stores, like Lowes, Walmart, Home Depot where these can be purchased and seen, touched, and returned to if need be.

Just ONE opinon based on your results, or lack of them...

Get a different product to sell.

I like the layout. It's appealing and friendly. It does come across more like an ad than a review though.

Maybe try putting a legit review up top and then a real ad to follow. The first thing I'd do is tell the visitors right up front that you're a reviewer and an affiliate for the product and that you'll make something if they end up buying from you.

Come from the heart and tell them you love this product so much that you want to share it with the world (if that's true... if it's not find someone who loves it and make the appeal from their perspective). Check the federal guidelines for affiliates and specifics on what you can say and what's taboo.

One thing I think I'd do after the disclaimer stuff is look around the Web for vendors selling this saw at a higher price and then list them right there on your page. People like to see they're getting a good deal. Good luck.

i agree, looks like a thinly veiled ad, and a pretty hoky one at that. I feel like id prefer to go to a store and buy one of these, and at the very least go to like a lowes.com.

sorry, thats probly not what you want to hear. just my opinion.

Go to the husqvarna website and do some research. There's lots of info on there.

Tell the company history to your visitors. Explain just why these are the natural choice in A LOT MORE DETAIL.......I MEAN A L O T MORE DETAIL.

When men (mans product yeah?) buy something like this, they have to justify their decision to the friends and neighbours. If you plant the story in his mind with your sales copy you'll be going a long way to getting a decision there and then.

There are some typo errors in your copy too....very offputting.

I'm with travlinguy.....I think you could make this work but you'll need to be 100% upfront and also your copy will need to be MUCH MORE ENTHUSIASTIC.........

    Good Luck. Don't give in.

    • okay I can log into my wp-admin area but the site is still not showing.

Would the problem be on my hosting end ?

Yeah if it doesn't come up in the next hour or so, hosting would indeed be the first place I go.

Also, I'm curious how you chose 'husqvarna 450' as your keyword? At only 500 or so exact local searches per month in the US, and such a tough item to sell online, seems like this might just be a hard keyword to target and turn into sales... good luck tho.

How much traffic are you getting? According to Google KWT that keyword only gets 210 exact local searches per month. Your site is good, but it's just not getting enough traffic. I get 250 visitors a day and still don't sell items everyday, I do make about $10 a day with Adsense however.

C.J., I think you did a pretty good job with this site but think that the other commenters hit the nail on the head with their comments. When you build your next site, take their comments into consideration during your development. For my 2-cents, I'd simply like to recommend that you seek out products that are not obviously available at big national chains. Chainsaws are readily available at Lowe's or Home Depot. Laptops are readily available at BestBuy. Suitcases are readily available at Walmart. See if you can find some products where it's not obvious which brick-and-mortar store in your local area would carry it.

    You're promoting a chainsaw.

You should have in place of that "Amazon.com" advertisement, a call to action ..."Click here to buy the Husqvarna Chainsaw"

I click on that advertisement now and it throws me over to Amazon and Im looking at hand drills and vernier calipers.

    Why????

Surely it should be throwing the user here http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...varna+Chainsaw

    Yes?????????
