How to get yourself banned from Amazon?

I have finished designing my review site, I will test a new design using Joomla and see how it goes and see the visitors reaction, I didn't use the review sites layout since I find it boring ( my personal opinion lol)

I want to know what can get me banned from Amazon so I avoid it, can someone list the things I shouldn't do and how should I post my links.. example if I post an article on facebook that links back to my site, would that be considered against the TOS, I also read that cloaking links will get you banned but I have no idea what is link cloaking ? should I post my links as they are or hide them?

Thanks

Have you actually taken the time to read Amazon's TOS?

Stick to doing things right from the start and you won't
need to worry about getting banned.

If it ain't a problem worrying about it won't fix it.

      Hey John,

So, who are you going to pay attention
to... Amazon or a bunch of "people" on a
        forum?

Link cloaking = masking your link.

    so

original link: Amazon.com: Online Shopping for Electronics, Apparel, Computers, Books, DVDs & more
cloaked link (example): yourpage.com: The Leading Your Page Site on the Net

    so "hiding" = cloaking.

    Cheers,

I personally contacted Amazon support about cloaking links since there was stuff like the above post going around and Amazon responded with the answer that they have no problem with cloaking your links to their site.

As mentioned the best way whenever you have a questions about something to do with what will or will not get your site banned is to read the TOS and if you have additional concerns contact Amazon Support and ask them directly.

      kickin it on Amazon

I found a great way to get banned from Amazon... Just live in Colorado, bingo they will cancel you in a heartbeat.

Here is a really accurate place for what you're looking for. I've followed this and never gotten banned.

I've never heard of amazon going after affiliates...I'd think you'd have to do something truly heinous and intentional to get banned. Amazon isn't like ebay...they don't seem to hunt down and terminate affiliates for the fun of it.

Great thanks for this thread as I was wondering about this recently after doing some work on an amazon site.

Now I just need to figure out how to cloak the links in the sidebar! cheers.

Just figured out yesterday that one of my sites (a review site for a popular item) would not work with the Amazon operating agreement. I've spent countless hours on it and I've just started to make money (less than $25 at this point). Should I:

    1. Write Amazon with a mea culpa explaining the situation and ask for advice? Clearly I'm going to have to take down the links etc.

    2. Just take down the links and not bring attention to myself?
