You are going to want to utilize a 3rd party for advertising. Also, nobody is going to work with an unknown website and an unknown vendor, so you basically will want to stick with the basic networks such as Google Ads, Valueclick, Burst, etc., until you get more well known.

Yes. It's called OIO Publisher. It lets you sell ads on your site directly from WP. Clients get logins, too and can pay onsite.

Andrei . . . I have looked at BuySellAds but have never used them. Have you or anyone else had good success?

Ti . . . actually I have niche websites with hundreds of pages each which do well in the search engines. Even though I don't solicit ads, website owners email me several times a month to buy ad space.

Collection and ad placement are too time consuming so I never had a solution. Now that I have Ad Injection . . . I could specify a location and category to monetize. If I set a fee that is reasonable, I can sell the ads myself with no problem.

However, still back to maintenance to collect fees, sign people up, monitor payments and renewals which is what stops me from accepting requests. Trying to find an easy solution for monitoring and processing payments that includes the ease of use of posting ads . . . something like ad injection plugin with payment processing.

You could install AdRotate, which is a free WordPress plugin that has loads of features for displaying ads on any WP site.

Then just set up a PayPal payment button and link it to some text or graphics selling advertising space on your site.

That's the easy part however as you first have to establish a place where advertisers are going to want to be seen i.e. somewhere that has a lot of traffic for a particular niche or interest.

I have been on BuySellAds as an advertiser instead of a publisher. I would recommend taking a look at them.

I will strongly recommend KOMOONA ADS... This is a plugin for wordpress and they are AWESOME !!!

It will also collect payments and all you need to do is just APPROVE the ad...

There are a lot of great suggestions that I will will check out. I have never heard of Komoona Ads . . . that is a new one. OIO and BuySellAds are interesting possiblities too.
