How do you know when you choose program is a scam or not ?

How do you choose a good program on the internet?
Do you agree to all the programs that offer a major advantage is a scam?
Then what kind of programs do you think that is not a scam?
How do you know , the difference between a good program and program a scam?

Please! I am sure you have experience with one of the programs where the program is a scam! If you are long in the IM.
Can you tell me your opinion, please? About a scam! ...

"Although is scam but sometime is not, Although is not scam but it is scam !"

It Is hard to tell ,, Right ,,,? Give me your opinion if you have !

Thanks
Kom

If it sounds like total bull****, it probably is.

If it sounds like bull**** but is approved by many others, give it a second look.

If it sounds like bull**** but the guy is a reputable poster AND it is approved by many others, just buy it.

If something smells like crap it most likely is.

It does not matter what others say about it. I have seen completely worthless products that were praised by many people.

If in doubt use your own judgement.

I totally Agree!!! Very well said. But just to add - Please make sure you do your research first! That's the most important thing. Gather as much information about the program and ask some reference. Hope this helps.

EricBaglio has the right answer. I would add that you develop the skill in telling genuine reviews from fake, purchased ones. That isn't always easy, but after a while, they become (painfully) obvious.

    Good question.

    It isn't always easy.

Here are a few little suggestions. Keep away from anything ...

    (i) with the words "cash", "money" or "wealth" in either the title or the url;

    (ii) that makes any sort of income claim on the sales page (this is really "the big one": people who buy things on the basis of income claims have mostly themselves to blame);

    (iii) that says anything like "We do it for you" (if they "do it for you", then what would they need you for, apart from your money/investment?);

    (iv) that doesn't explain what's really involved, but instead just stresses how easy it is, that anyone/everyone can do it, or that it doesn't involve doing any real work;

    (v) that's "hosted" on a free subdomain at blogspot/wordpress/weebly/squidoo (ok, I know you didn't need me to point this one out! But for anyone else, think about this: if someone is purporting to advise you how to make money, and their own business lives on a free subdomain at blogspot/weebly, what are they really telling you?! If they themselves are making even a fraction of the money they often claim you can make, then why can't they afford a domain-name and hosting like you can?! :p ).

The above things are all likely to be scammy.

(It may even be a good idea to keep away from anything called a "program", actually, as well: it's certainly a term that makes a skepchick like me instinctively suspicious.)

Good points... But, as far as I know, I think these types of words are on every MMO ebook. How do you choose the actual MMO product?

I don't, myself: I keep well away from that niche (actually for many reasons). My reputation is a valuable long-term asset to my business, and I'm certainly not promoting (or even buying) anything that makes income claims.

I'm discussing it light-heartedly, of course ... but more seriously: when people see something with "cash" or "money" in the title, and the page has a big income claim on it, and the site's openly hosted on a free subdomain at Blogspot or Yola or Weebly or something like that: what do people expect?! Do they really imagine that there's going to be some "innocent explanation" for that? Or might it, just possibly, have "blatant dishonesty" written all over it? I don't mean it rudely, and I'm sorry if I sound a bit of a skepchick about it, but how sincerely are we expected to sympathise with people who buy or sign up for anything like that?

Nice post -I would stay away from explosive flash videos and sad sad stories most successful affiliate marketers work on the emotions of potential custormers.

Instead I would suggest searching around and inquiring about the new product- don't really believe the first review or necessarily the first testimonial you see on the net

Trust me its probably the same person who owns the product.

If they can't provide step by step video's or a manual or both I would suggest-stay away!

Forget the magic press button or the secret software- nothing but garbage trust me on this

Of course a reputable seller has some weight but not always, even they themselves slack off and slip in re-hash junk.

while they say do this and go there- the fact is they are doing something totally opposite.

Most people I believe really want to retire and have a comfortable life I believe this 100%

Scams...yeah..there are a lot of scams on the internet but you can spot them from a mile!
It usually starts with how I made 300,000$ in my first month and an actor that says: "are you tired of actors?"

This is true and I don't know if people like this are stupid enough to think that they can fool a lot of us with this BS....

Nowadays...many products are not scams...people who buy them make them scams because they don't apply the information. They and sometimes even me...skip to another book/course thinking that maybe it's more in it.

You can easily spot the scam and semi-scam "programs":

They promise money and cash, but NEVER really give details what the "program" or method is actually about. Avoid!

There are a few more "serious" courses and training programs out there, those might be helpful for beginners or if someone simply wants a complete training for IM/SEO/Marketing etc...but for me personally i haven't seen any such course which told me anything new. This is also why i don't buy any such programs or courses.

(And example from the past here would be "Google Sniper" or similar...which in itself is certainly good...but it just wouldn't tell me anything new).

Sorry, but I have to somewhat disagree with this statement. It seems that especially this last year too many normally "upright" marketers have begun trading reputation for "dollars" for some crazy reason.

I can't figure out why some of these so-called "gurus" that are supposedly making the mega bucks have allowed their name to be associated with some of the trash that has been marketed as 'Great products" lately.

So, be careful of trusting a product on "just their name" alone.

Matter of fact, I just bought a WSO a while back from a respectable marketer whom I had followed for a long time. Based on the marketer, and all the GLOWING remarks from, I guess, his affiliates and friends, - (notice I didn't say reviews, they were simply comments such as "gotta be great if you put it out" kinda stuff, which I thought was also against T.O.S.) - I figured it would do what it said.

Well, it wasn't really a scam, but some of the worst JUNK I have ever bought from a high profile marketer. And, no, I didn't ask for a refund. I just ate it and considered it a lesson learned. Needless to say I still have indigestion from it.

If you are looking at WSO's, DO NOT look at all the hype beginning the comments. If someone HAS NOT at least gone through the product, their testimonial is worthless. Wait on those who buy and try.

If you have to pay a few bucks more, it'll either be worth it or it never was in the first place.

Like what Willie suggests, I use my feeling to tell if a product is the real deal. After going through some spam products myself, I learn that if the message in the sales page gets me excited with just the thought of "making money", then most likely it's not right for me. It might not be a spam, but the mentality is wrong.

If on the other hand, the sales message makes me feel inspired and the feeling is in line with my goal (i.e. building a business that I enjoy and desire, not just making money), then the program will more likely help me improving my skills and boosting my business.

With WSO's, it's pretty easy to tell if it's scammy or not.

The typical structure of a scammy WSO is:

    1. Amazing product with amazing testimonials.
    2. Emails from various "WSO of the day" lists
    3. Glowing comments on the first page.
    4. Page 2 onwards, the real comments come in.

There was a recent WSO by a prominent WF member, which followed the above formula to the letter.

The comments thread got to 19 pages (of which 18 were absolutely scathing of the scammy methods used) before it was locked.

Certainly asking around a great place like this is a good starting point to learn. No matter how careful you are, getting scammed is bound to happen.

In the beginning I got roped into, gifting programs, we guarantee to build your network (downline) or you dont pay, oh did I pay, email blasting to millions of emails, hell I have 2 grand invested in a software / gigantic store network for over 2 years now, this person has been stringing god knows how many of us on forever now, making excuses for delays, but always has the time to send out extra offers ect.

I'm taking it as a 2k education, I analyze and track the excuses, offers, the comments from their staff and even try to predict their next move. Obviously I don't buy any of the offers.

Learn from others, learn from personal experience, follow your gut when needed.

In the beginning you should stay clear from high ticket items unless you are perfectly confident that what you are getting is legit. That's the beauty of a place like this, you can ask for info to a question, share your own experiences and the cherry on top, if you need info fast you can usually find it as a WSO and very reasonably priced compared to the $2-$3-$400+ products out there.

I don't have a problem with high ticket items, the problem with many high ticket items though is that the box and the contents is usually better looking than the content the consumer wanted in the first place.

Be careful, don't spend a penny if you are unsure of what you are getting for your money. If you are unsure but you want to buy, get up and go do something distracting for 30 minutes or so. Come back with a clear mind and analyze the offer again and make a decision. For me I'm a staunch believer in following what my gut tells me now. It's right probably 9 / 10 times now.

Yes, Kom that is a tough question to answer!

I have developed a product that is legitimate and works, (really works). I have tested the concept myself with good results or sales and have turned it into a product. This concept, (or way of creating a product) has more or less been used by some of the most successful online marketers out there.

So, it is quite reasonable to use wealth in my sales pitch.

It centers around creating a product and doing the research, etc. My first try with this worked, although obviously not every attempt will work. And it typically takes me a month of hard work to create a campaign, rivaling Clickbank standards.

So it isn't press 3 buttons, and watch the money roll in. They are all Scams
      !!!

But the kind of product l am developing isn't. It just requires hard work, probably over a few months, to see results that can lead to wealth.

It has taken me 4 years to figure this out, and even though l can create high quality product graphics, sales videos, with the advise l give virtually anyone could use this.

I tend to create a 5 star presentation, but a basic sales page is more than enough to get sales and begin to turn things around.

And even with Clickbanks new FTC rules, scammy new products are still being presented.

When l did some background research, l found that the top 6 products on Clickbank for E-commerce, centered around basic software, that didn't offer very much over doing it yourself, but some videos could have been included?

One or two seemed legitimate, but it seemed that most of these marketers created genuine wealth through basically sleeping near their computer and working very hard to make their online business work. Then sell a piece of software that automates a very small part of that, then carry on about the almost useless software, and show off their genuine, huge sales figures.

So, be cautious, but don't dismiss something with wealth in the headline. Creating wealth online is possible, but not without effort!

And you should be very wary of SEO type products, only about 7 to 13% of people that try those sorts of products make it work. I have tried several over the years; You will usually work hard for possible great results, but their are no guarantees with SEO!

Leverage the power of crowd sourcing for more information before handing out $$.

When your initial impulses makes you feel like it's an awesome deal and "I better order it" before I miss out, that is the time when you need to step back and think through what you are about to do.

Read reviews, if there are none, look for other things that the person have sold, if there are none, as for a review copy.

I tent to stay away from anything with the word "guaranteed" in the sales copy. Though I am still new to this and the other members make good points on what to look out for which I will definitely add to my BS detector.

    COACHING SCAMS ON THIS FORUM:
HERE IT IS FROM EXPERIENCE, IF YOU ARE GOING TO SIGN UP WITH A COACH. ASK THEM FOR A PROGRAM FIRST. ASK HIM IF THERE IS HOMEWORK YOU HAVE TO DO EVERY DAY. AFTER SIGNING UP WITH 2 COACHES, THEY EMAILED ME AND ASKED ME IF I HAVE ANY QUSTIONS. THAT SHOCKED THE HELL OUT OF ME. THEY DID NOT HAVE A PROGRAM AND THEY WERE FAKING IT OT MAKE MONEY. THEY KNEW THEIR STUFF BUT THEY REALLY WERE NOT INTERESTED IN TEACHING IT. TOTAL SCAMMERS, THEY WILL BE JUDGED ONE DAY BY A HIGHER POWER.
SO, ALWAYS ASK FOR PROGRAM IN DETAILS BEFORE YOU SIGN UP.
