Trouble understanding site stats. Help pls?
Hi,
I was just checking Google Analytics for my book-titles site and according to one set of stats, no one visited my site (or 'this page', whatever it is) between Dec 28 and Jan 19. The stats I'm looking at are "Entrance Paths" but it doesn't tell me which page it's looking at.
Below that huge graph, there is a box "started here" - but there is nothing in there. In the middle box "then viewed these pages", it shows my home page and one inner page for a total of 15 visits between Dec 28 and Jan 27.
Now, that big graph (from Dec. 28 to Jan. 27) shows 86 visits total.
So two questions:
1. what page are they talking about? I thought it was my home page but according to the site stats on my server, my site was visited an average of 150 times each day during the date ranges in the graph. The little page icon with "visit this page" points to my home page.
2. What does this discrepancy in visitors mean?
Me no understand. :confused:
