While I'm a noob by all means of the word, I feel that I've "fallen for the dream" yet again. While looking back at the sites I've created over the last four months, the $711 I have spent on WSO's, programs, hosting, etc, compared to the $0 I have made, I just can't help but feel "disappointed". While I believe most of my problems have come from crummy keyword research in the beginning, "I" just think this is a bad time to have jumped into this game.

I'm sure there are plenty out there making money, and I know those selling WSO's are killing it, it's hard for me to believe that all the people on this forum are making what they claim.

While I have no problems working at this, the time I have put in (just ask my wife), has not resulted in any satisfaction and I regret spending the money I have.

Sorry to rant, and I'm sure there are plenty who will frown on this post, ask why I even made it, and state that I must be a idiot to not be able to make money at this, it's just not worked out for me. I guess if there is a point to this, I'd say anyone thinking of sinking money into this should step back and think about their decision, it's not as easy as everyone makes it out to be, it's not easy when you work 10-20 hours a week at it for 4 months, end rant, happy holidays.

I know there are people on this forum who are really making it.

I am one of those folks. I have made a living without a job since 2005.

It is not important whether you believe in me or believe in others. The only thing that matters is if you believe in yourself.

Yes, it is frustrating to do this for 4 months and not make money. It is far worse to spend 4 years and not make any money. I failed for 4 years, before I succeeded for over a decade.

I did not quit, nor should you, unless you believe that working for your dreams is a waste of time.

If you feel that you are wasting your time, with no hope for tomorrow, then by all means quit this crap and start focusing 110% on your job.

The only regrets in IM is falling down and not getting back up. But even as a child, we fell down often, before we were able to walk. We crashed our bicycles frequently, before we learned to ride them.

Stop looking at the dream, unless you want to keep repeating the same mistakes.

Product sellers sell the dream, and you spend your money.

Instead, look at business models, and decide which business model will work within your capabilities, then build the business.

If your dream is a business that will pay long-term rewards, then you are in the right position.

But if your dream is to make money passively, working the 4-hour work week, then you might be chasing fairies.

I recommend you read 5 Bucks A Day by Dennis Becker. It is all about focus and small victories.

There are guys that have gone years without making any money and then broke through.

Pick one method of making money and stick with it until you see some success. If you are always looking for a magic button in the latest WSO you will have a hard time.

      Yoseff, it's fine.

Have a good rant. Get it out of your system.

And then "get back up" so to speak and get on with making your dreams a reality. You can do this.

Are you going to find you've spend good money on bad products? Yes. Or bad business models? Yes. It hurts. Like crazy.

But you will find there are plenty of people who earn great livings right here on this forum. And they're the good guys and gals. Learn all you can from them. Keep reading. Studying. And taking action on the things you learn.

If I may, I'd suggest doing ONE thing and focusing all your efforts on it. Whatever that is. Sometimes we buy (it seems like) 10,000 WSO's at a time and run around trying to do all kinds of things with each one.

Read every page of different WSO's and find out if people are making money with it. Not a "wow this WSO is the best ever!" type comment, but real people making real money. Preferably with specifics about how much they made in what time frame and what additional costs were involved.

If yes, save up your money and buy that WSO. Follow the instructions to a "T".

Do everything they say, in the order they say it. And you will likely find your first dollar made, your first $100, and for that matter your first $1,000 and $10,000. Maybe every single week and month, you can have that consistent and sizable income.

Now, will there be times you say "I did EXACTLY this, and it didn't work?"

      The answer is, sometimes, yes.

You don't need to find 15 products or 10 different business models. You just need to find one. That works. For YOU.

And with that one, you can take the extra profits and either expand it or test a new one, beginning to generate new sources of income. And, of course, outsource a lot (or everything, for that matter) freeing up your time and basically supervising while you make more money.

You will find that one. Even if you have to wade through a lot of garbage to get there.

      It is so worth it.

      You can do this.

      We all can.

It's done every day. And we just need to get on this wonderful ride of internet entrepreneurism, contribute a lot of value along the way, and share in the success!

      All the best to you!

I am also new here but I do believe that there is money to be made. I first started Internet Marketing quite a few years back and I did make a bit of money and I don't know how I stopped it but I realise there is a lot of potential after visiting this site.

Just keep working on what you have been doing and also remember to stick to one method and you will succeed!

I bet i know what the problem is you say

While looking back at the sites I've created over the last four months
I don't know how many sites you have created in that time, but I am willing to bet that if you had focused on just 1 site you would be making money by now.

It's the same mistake I have made more times that I would care to admit. Don't beat yourself up about it though, I bet it happens to about 90% of the people here.

The problem is that you start working a "program" or whatever and you go all out building a site.

After a couple of weeks, you don't see the results you want.

Being new and having no experience to go by, you figure you either picked a bad niche or did crappy keyword research etc..

So you stop working on that site and build another site

… then a couple weeks later, the cycle starts over again.

And with some of the threads and the WSO claims its no wonder that you think you should see results in a couple of weeks, after all it seems like everyone else is.

The truth is that while some people do see that, it's probably not the norm for new people who are just learning the ropes (and even sometimes for us old people). It can take months for your efforts to pay off.

Pick one of your sites that you really have an interest in and go all out adding content and promoting it. Promise yourself that you will give it at least 3 months and I think you will be surprised at what you find.

    Yoseff,

You tried internet marketing and it didn't work out. If you feel like this kind of profession is not for you, then maybe you are not ready to venture into this line of work. Essentially we internet marketers, most of the time, act as entrepreneurs. We create stuff online, new stuff, for the web that will (if done right) make us money. There is a lot of time and money that is invested by each person that has "made it".

4 Months is nothing. I have been at this for years.

You have to think of internet marketing and web business in general like you do an offline business. You are running a business. You are not working a job. Nobody tells you what to do. You build it from scratch.
