It sounds like you are off to a great start with having a list of 700. How often do you send emails to them? It's important to send quite often so they don't forget who you are.

Even more important is what you send.

Is it really useful content that will help them out and they look forward to receiving? Or do you send out emails trying to sell all the time? Make sure you start out with the first 3 to 5 emails of just giving valuable information and then once they know, like and trust you, they will be more apt to buy when you recommend something.

Just hang in there and don't give up. You might have to get a J O B in the mean time and work at it in your spare time. It can be too much pressure when that's all you're counting on.

After clicking on the link to your WSO I suggest that you go find all of those $27,323.32 weekly pay checks, or even those $25,000 daily earnings that you claim is being earned with the system that you are selling then you won't feel like giving up.

If you are telling the truth in this thread then how can the WSO be true? Surprised that it was even accepted as an ad it's so full of hype (BS).

Today's lesson: Read the entire sales copy before making fun of someone. The ludicrous claims at the beginning of his copy were made to "make fun of" scammy products.

Granted, he still blatantly lies later on in the copy, saying he uses his methods to make a great deal of money online. So my original question of when you were lying, then or now, stands. I just apologize for making fun of the wrong part.

If you really are struggling in building your own internet marketing might I suggest a different approach?

Clickbank is pretty brutal. Perhaps you should try something a little easier.
I suggest Empower Network. You can see the link in my sig below.

The difference is your conversion rate. If someone else has done the work of creating the sales page and makes your conversion rate higher I would give them a try. I did give them a try. I know the sales pages are compelling because I looked at lots of them before I committed...and I am pretty tight with my money.

You can use your existing list to try any new excellent offer or online business. That is why you build a list. Think bigger. I think you will like Empower Network. It is also an international opportunity. Lots of possibilities. Lots of people.

I also work my own primary business and I understand the frustration. I hope you find something that works for you.

You are entirely right that you need to write on another topic; and don't try to BS anyone again. Frauds get called out all the time. As Paul said, you are already behind the 8 Ball just based on your country's reputation. Pulling stunts like this doesn't help much either. You rarely if ever get extra chances at your reputation, so use this one wisely.

There are a few things to mention:

- the sales copy sucks big time. bad English, no structure, chaotic, etc.
- the claims are confusing. It's 27k a week, then 25k a day, then over a mil in 6 months... huh?
- obviously, you sell something that you fail at pretty badly. How can you expect that to work?

Learn a trade. Get some reputation. Sell what you know about. Don't lie to people.
Then you have the chance to be successful.

If you don't want to do that - get a job, you'll never be successful in IM with that mindset.

Odds on you got the resell rights to this product and sold it as best you could!

I read through your sales copy and apart from the sentence claiming that you are making decent cash working from home, which contradicts your sales results in this thread, that is my main issue.

I have a product on showing people how to create a successful product. Which is based on other successful marketers using the same info, for product research, etc. And this product is selling, just need to tweak a few things.

I have said that l have been online since 2007, which can be verified with one of my websites. And creating a Clickbank campaign that rivals the best, to show that l am a professional in product creation.

It is Ok to sell a product on making money as long as you have concrete proof that others have succeeded with this product, and you either don't say anything about your situation or state the truth as positively as possible if you are just starting out!

P.S. these days you do need proof that others have succeeded with your material with Clickbank and it's new FTC rules. Otherwise if you get audited, it could get serious!!!...

  I suggest, you keep those 700 people, be honest with them, be more ethical in your marketing, focus on building your relationship with them through your emails, get them to trust you... in the mean time get a job and do this in the spare time, but do not make false claims your just branding yourself in a bad way. If your in this industry for quick money then forget it and goodluck because people are pretty much fed up of all the 'BS' from marketers that are scamming them. Ive been burnt a number of times so i know that feeling.

I think WarriorForum should seriously consider a new moderating process for WSO, otherwise you get the loads of scammy products around now.

There should be criteria, an approval process of the product itself, and maybe a quick background check to increase the chances the claims made are accurate. Less money would be made but WSO would have their reputation renewed.

For starters, drop the gimmicks.

For example: The outrageous intro to your WSO is so over the top that people will never get to the part where you tell them it's a spoof and that such claims are impossible for most people.

It takes a certain level of skill to pull off that kind of stunt copy without looking silly. You don't have it yet. And, fortunately, you don't need it to succeed.

Trying to be clever is also why your WSO layout looks so sloppy. You'd have been better off with plain text than whatever that's supposed to be.

(I closed that offer, by the way. It's clearly either re-worked PLR or an outright lie.)

You have an added challenge in that you're from Nigeria. I'm sure you're aware that your country hasn't got the best reputation in this industry. People will look at you more closely than most because of that.

If I were you, I'd focus on promoting products (yours or others') outside this niche. Learn to sell, or at least pre-sell. Then work on your technique.

First and foremost: Concentrate on delivering real value to your customers. If you do that, the gimmicks won't be necessary.

Also, if you're going to sell to an English-speaking market, you need to work on your writing. It's fine for general conversation, but that copy has the kinds of errors that make people work too hard for the message. Not much will kill sales faster than that.

Exactly why I don't spend much time there and if I do I don't look at the ones with hyped up titles. Find it best to go there when I want some software to do a particular job or a service, then I get some real bargains.

Paul's made some really valid points here. When I tried to offer you words of encouragement, I hadn't yet clicked on your signature. I guess the offer is down now, but from what folks are saying, it was somewhatr sloppy.

But listen, consider this a learning experience. Paul is right when he says you don't need "stunt copy" to have a successful sales page. Folks are plain sick and tired of hyped up sales copy, and most will just click away wihtoutt even bothering to finisih reading it.

And, if you are trying to establish a solid reputation for yourself, selling folks a product that won't do what you say it will is not the way to go.

If you want to launch a great WSO, then keep it simple. Do some research and find a method that actually makes you money, and then either put it down on paper or make some videos. But make the content useful, and make it something that isn't readily available for free somewhere else on the internet.

If I were in your shoes (which we all were at some point), I would focus on list building and promoting other's WSO's that you like to your list. Once you get to the point where you are making $100-$150 per day, then you can think about creating and selling your own product, or even outsourcing the creation process with ELance or Odesk or something like that.

You're trying to run before you've learned to walk. you're still in the crawl stage at this point. It's not a bad thing. Consider this a learning experience, grow from it, and move on to something better.

Please don't give up... I have been in your shoes. You have to keep going. You WILL achieve success, but only if you believe that. Have faith in yourself and your abilities.

I see that you are building a list. OK, so you are already doing the right thing. That's positive. Now you need to scale up your list building efforts.

One thing that worked wonders for me was ad swaps. There are several sites that you can join to do ad swaps, Safe Swaps is th emost popular I believe. And, you can set up swaps right here on the WF. Another thing that you are going to want to do is download page swaps. Get a banner made up for your offer, and how it works is you put another marketer's offer on your download page, and they yours.

In fact, if you PM me, I'd be willing to set one up with you on one of my download pages. I'm sure there are other Warriors who will also work with you.

There are many good WSO's that can give you little list building tips, and if you don't want to spend the money, then just do a search on this forum for "list building", and you'll get tons of ideas!

Good advice from Paul. I'd also like to add that you've obviously got the potential to be positively constructive, spending all that time developing a WSO which at least to some obviusly looked convincing (although for me just a little OTT). Now if you could just get the 'honesty' bit right you'd be well on your way to not having to 'give up' as you put it. In my experience people only get away with stunts like this once, so where's the long term business model? You need to rethink and re present your efforts and hope that people will forgive your first and somewhat amateur attempt.

firstly, i would say starting in affiliate marketing is not as easy as some make it out to be, especially nowadays, and especially in IM niche (im making an assumption since you launched a WSO).

The challenge for people who are not from US is language and contacts. You need to ensure your communication are always done in a language that sounds natural and emotionally compelling to your target market. Outsource would be the best here.

On contacts, being outside US, its almost impossible for you (and me) to attend those affiliate conferences every other weekend. So the next best thing is to take up coaching or mentoring. Make sure your coach is someone who has strong industry contacts. The only thing here is that, it will cost you some money. In my opinion, the right coach, can open enough doors to give you a good return on investment.

Vicky you definately have lived up to the stereo-type on Nigerians. Take it as part of your learning curve. Now repackage yourself and focus on having a more ethical work ethic. Imagine what happens to someone who buys your product and fails to get them the millions that it promises? You have taken away not only their money but their hopes of making something of themselves. Start over and deliver value before you expect anything in return. Don't give up; all is not lost.

But what I read, about giving up

Give up is not the good think , that is correct
but, if you keeping doing the same thing and no result, you may take other way,because,you may wasting more time, to dig the eart when there is no gold there.

You did your best. Now you need to do something to support your life, IM is big dream to lazy people one of them is Me, to be honest we want to make money online easy, but in fact IM is the hard way to make money, endless you know what you are doing,

I was thinking like you to do full IM, I did try for 2 month full time IM, I make money Just to pay my internet. huh is hard.

But I am not give up on it, the only thing I have to back to work to make money as regular job, and I am doing IM on my free time !

Don't give up fellow warrior.

Right now is the time to stand-up to the challenge that you have made for yourself. These are the times when you are presented with obstacles and negative feedback from your efforts and this is the "real" time where you have to decide how dedicated you are to achieve your financial success in 2012.

You see, the way business (and life) works is simple when you believe in its simplicity. It really is about "what you sow, so shall you reap." Business is that simple. Nothing more, nothing less. And making money is as clear as you want it to be because making money is a reflection of how you treat your business. It's how well you nurture it. You have to treat it how you would treat your baby; full of care, love, support, and direction.

It's hard but you have to forget what it means when you read a sales pitch that claims "$25,302 daily earnings," $103,034 in one product launch," "$1,354,342 in one week" and forget all what others have made and focus on yourself first. Stop trying to sell your product and services by "promising" that they could also make quick money. Quick money schemes are just that. It flows in and out of your bank account just like how water flows through a bucket with a hole in it.

Knowing yourself first is the 1st step in generating income for your online business. All the other steps will follow this lead automatically.
Focus on how much more you could do to improve and contribute value to the business at hand. There is a universal law that will always help in your endeavors when you apply it - "the more I give the more I receive." So apply conscious effort in your actions and you will experience good results.

It sounds like you have plenty of experience under your belt. Leverage this to help you make better decisions. Decisions that could be applied to creating more value to the product or services you sell. You are guaranteed to receive monetary rewards if you practice this wholeheartedly. I mean you have to truly believe it within yourself that your business will increase because you are doing something good for the world or community. That's how business increases in every industry. Money is just an exchange of energy between a person who has a problem and wishes to solve it by your product or services.

You know a mentor once told me when I wanted to give up that "everything I needed to achieve financial success was within me." He said that you're complaining about all the things you don't have rather than focusing on the things you did have and leverage those inner qualities I had into the success I wanted to become. I didn't get it at the time until one day I went for a long walk on the beach and reevaluated everything I was doing. Then it hit me. My focus was on how other people were more successful than I was and how other things were more important than the actual actions I took. I had to change direction of my attention into competing within myself. I had to improve my inner world. So, I stopped buying all the awesome WSO products and focused on one method and increased my daily actions until I was happy with the results. I seriously made a 180 and devoted without a doubt that the business I was creating will, indeed, become successful. Eventually, it did because I would not give up and the obstacles I encountered along the way were merely opportunities to be more creative.

Always remember that clarity will always trump influence. This means that the product or services you are selling have to be honest, be of high integrity, add value to OTHER peoples lives, and respond with care.

You should check out "As a man thinketh" by James Allen. Spend a weekend in solitude with wholehearted focus absorbing what this book is about. It may change your life.

on a differnt front. if you're hurting for money. get a job. seirously. save up, and keep working on your IM skills. don't give up. never ever give up.

First of all.. You should not lie about your wso, that's the top reason why its not selling. More than the fact that the english is poor, anyone can see that you're probably bull****ting as well.. I'm suggesting you to take a step back and rethink your choices, if your english is really that bad and IM is getting too depressing for you, move on to a real job. Nothing is wrong with that at all, you meet new people, you earn consistent cash and so forth. IM is a career choic, not like you'd die without it. Stick in the industry only if you know what you are doing and what you want to do next. Plan, man, plan.

So you moved, or you just put it because it is two hours away and you don't want to deal with the "stigma" of being from Nigeria? I passed geography and am well aware of Cameroon's location; but if you aren't there and are suddenly claiming to be right after getting caught up in your other lies in this very thread...well to me it is just digging yourself into a deeper hole.

Don't you assume too quickly either. I am just noting a possible discrepancy between what you are saying and what you are doing, and following up on it. You are free to clarify the sudden change in location right here for all to see.

You didn't make a "newbie mistake". Newbie mistakes are honest mistakes that honest marketers make. You made what we will call a "scammer mistake". You tried to con people into thinking you were something that you were not.

It does mean you are a liar, as I have pointed out many times. As far as being a bad person? I couldn't comment personally. I don't know (or really care to know) your life story.

I usually tell myself that dreams aren't easy. I write for my own personal blog as a way out of the dreary corporate life. People who dare to take the road less traveled aren't meant to have it easy. I mean if it's so easy, then everyone can do it right?

If you would give up this easy, then maybe internet marketing is not made for you.

It is clear that you are doing something wrong, you need to look at your marketing, and see where you are loosing people's attention.

Make sure that you track and test EVERYTHING so that you know which parts to adjust.

Also look at how many sales e-mails your are sending. If every e-mail you send is a sales e-mail, then no wonder people are not reading them.

I would say, 7 e-mails of good value content, and then 1 e-mail of sales.

I really hope you stick at this! The internet is a gold mine!

It seems the OFFERS you are mailing are not working.
Perhaps they are not right for YOUR list.
What did they opt-in to receive? Why are they on your list in the first place?

What I mean is ...

If all your list are college students , they won't be READY YET for offers
of Life Insurance, Mortgage stuff ... etc etc

or

if you offered a free coupon for BABY FOOD to get them
then they were probably all parents of babies AND probably FEMALE
AND probably in a year they will NOT be parents of "babies" anymore.
That also means they won't be interested in ads for MEN
or ads for kids clothes size 10 (years).

So figure out WHO is on your list and WHY and send more products
that are better for them.

I have watched this thread with interest and have made a few observations which I hope you will find constructive.

You have been given some sound advice here and I certainly hope you heed it. You have also been targeted with many criticisms, the majority which I'm sad to say I feel are quite valid.

From my viewpoint your biggest problem now is not how to market on the Internet. Instead your major problem is Reputation Management. And you have quite a challenge there.

The old Twitter posts you made with the false income claims will not disappear, so this is an issue you'll need to deal with proactively. If you continue to market products to other Internet Marketers this issue will come back to haunt you, so you have better put together a strategy to deal with it.

This thread could have been a vehicle for admitting those mistakes and moving forward, and in some way you did try to do that. But then you changed your location mid-way, and that sent up a "red flag" among the members here and rightly so. Responding that Cameroon is a two hour trip from Nigeria is really irrelevant, ask some of our European friends how many other countries are within two hours of their location!

I suggest you work primarily to restore that reputation first, before you even consider jumping back into Internet Marketing.

And as for your English writing abilities have you considered instead marketing to the French market? It is the official language of 29 countries and is spoken by almost half a billion people (source Wikipedia) so there is certainly a market there. And perhaps your reputation in that market is not quite as damaged as it is here, so you may have a second chance at doing it properly.

look...i was in the same situation as you. I made some money and failed to push on. the tough fact that i learned is you have to ADAPT! if your failing..move on and research is always key! I adapted and now i have WSO out on how i started. The entire IM game is how to chage your game plans and move on when its time to move!

Bro,

Don't listen to these people who tells you to quit. I've started online-marketing back in 2008 and have continued to fail today - 2011. That's 3 years!! However, that's how we as human are designed to learn - we learn by making mistakes and failing! We cannot walk if we don't fall - the same theory applies when you learn to ride a bicycle.

You just have to improve 1 thing at a time (don't make yourself too stresful) - make everyday count, and never up easily! Make it a habit to improve yourself and your business 1 day at a time regardless of how bad your day is.

And trust me not before long, you'll begin to see success!

Internet-Marketing are for tough guys, people who have long-term plans and vision - they're not for people who look to "get-rich quick".. I know you're a tough guy so just keep going, you'll get there!

Remember, the reason why you started out Internet-Marketing was because you wanted to have more LIFE. You have come this far - so why quit now?

Now that you know (because instead of answering your question at hand, people are just being nosy and trying to prove you wrong, who knows why.) that you need to do some reputation management, start slow with putting big WSO's out there.

I would create an online brand or start small again. Keep what you have up now, make sure you take down anything misleading and be 100% honest with what you are doing and what you are selling. I wouldn't show results unless they are your results as proof.

I certainly wouldn't give up because some people questioned you in here. Who cares what they think? Listen to the people who will take the time to help you, ignore the ones who are just on here trying to prove you wrong or question everything you do. If you are honest from this point forward and look at what you are doing, as well as looking in to other profitable niches you would be on the right track.

Dont give up mate. Everyone went through this phase. And please do not just give up everything and go full time. Stop buying traffic tool. I know what you mean when you said you buy those tool and thought it will work.

Mate - In my experience, get good content and niche research done properly. Then put up a good site with solid consistent content. Traffic generation comes latter. YOu don't need all those tools to generate good ranking (mostly). Stop buying anymore tool and build your site.

Don't do any shortcuts,

Since you already accumulated some experienced as an Internet Marketer lately, you're learning curve is now diminished and you can make money very soon as long as you are determined to focus on one reputable WSO or mentor.

A reputable Internet marketer (mentor) is always connected to other successful marketers and he will more often than not refer you to them in their daily newsletters or affiliate offers. After months of being in the game, putting in practice what you've learned and making money, you can now discern if you want to move into another program or venture with another reputable marketer that have skills that is closer to your new profile and goals.

In the beginning, I would look at different WSOs and look at the comments from WF users that are involved or registered to a specific WSO. Than I would look at the Internet Marketer's profile that have promoted that WSO and see if he has a good reputation in the forum. More often than not, a reputable Marketer member to WF has more than one offer (WSO). Nothing is stopping you to look at all the comments and critics so that you'll have a better idea of the Internet Marketer's reputation.

Once you are in a program (WSO) don't forget to focus and take action so that you don't become overwhelmed by information overload on the internet.

I don't understand how someone can try to say "sorry" for lying and trying to make a quick buck from you somebody online. It's like trying to rob someone on the street, failing when they kick you down, and then saying "I'm sorry for trying to rob you. Let's be friends, I wanna get to know you."

I think you should give up on IM. In the English market, that is. If you really want to do IM for the English audience you're going to have to hire a reliable, clever VA to write your sales letter, your emails, etc. Fixing up your language to bringing it up to par to begin having passive income is going to take more time than the average marketer. And when you get desperate, you'll scam again. Sure, not to this extreme or the same manner as your phail WSO, but on a smaller, "greyer" area.

Look for a French audience to target. IMHO, it's your best chance.

Failure is just a lesson. You made a big mistake right away by choosing to market in a niche that you have absolutely no knowledge of, because otherwise you would not have started this thread.

But now the question is, what do you have real genuine knowledge of? Something that you can share with us that makes you unique?

Warriors aren't just interested in make-money-online products, you know

Pick yourself up, own your mistakes, get at least a part-time job, and then continue working on your IM dreams. No true entrepreneur ever gives up.

My question to you now is: are you a true entrepreneur?

I felt this way many times. I've been learning internet marketing for 8 months now with no luck at all. But just last week i had a breakthrough. I was trying to monetize my website with an ebook, Amazon, Adsense, affiliate marketing none of those worked for me. Im not a writer, i can't even design a website. Heck 8 months ago i needed help setting up a Facebook page. Just look at my grammar here, and it's gotten better if you can believe that.

But i did not give up, and what i've learned for me personally hire other people to do the work with my ideas. So that is what im doing now i have several people working for me building sites, seo, creating content etc. Etc. I also changed the way im going to monetize my site i will offer a service. But dont give up try diffrent things untill you find what works for you! Selling an ebook is not for everyone. I am watching
what my contractors are doing, and learning from them. I never was good at learning from just reading. I learn better and faster from being hands on. So im watching and copying what they do on my other sites.

Find what works for you, and focus on that. Then with more time you will get better. If your first project fails then try something else until you get one that works for you.

Needless to say, a lot of WSOs have fancy $ numbers, fake screenshots, to telling real from the fake has been evolved into an expertise, sadly.

You should first give yourself credit for taking action.

Secondly, in this game of marketing, it's 99% mindset.
And you know this. You can ask all the top marketers
if they struggled in the beginning and I bet you all of
them would say "yes!".

I know this is a great way to vent, however that will
take you nowhere but to "I can't do it" land.

That's the mentality that will take to you the land of "broke".

I'll tell you what my friend, if you continue to work on yourself,
fix what's not working and make it better, you will succeed!

You mentioned that your emails aren't getting opened. That's your copy.
2 options....get better at copywriting, or hire a good copywriter.

Maybe your audience isn't targeted. The crazy thing about this business
is that there are so many elements that can cause low percentage conversions.

It's a matter of being persistent and figuring out those things on your own.

Keep educating yourself. You're on the right path. Right now, it's about polishing
what you've already done!

Keep going, you're on your way.

Hi Vicky Dure,

First of all don't give up and never get a stupid job unless you need the money to keep going by learning the right way to earn a regular monthly income online. It takes time to achieve this despite what many will say to contradict this.

I started trying to make money in 2001 but only really discovered the right way when I joined the Chris Farrell membership and systematically went through all his many short step by step training videos and read his e-books and Facebook posts.

To begin earning a life changing income will take from 3 to 5 years while working the rest of your life in almost any job will always keep you poor. Start off by deciding on a niche keyword with over 3000 global monthly searches, yet not too much or too little competition where you can provide a better service yourself?

I create Wordpress squeeze pages to build lists with a compelling free gift and use follow up e-mails with 2/3 free to every one recommended sale of what we have purchased and used ourselves product.

Also you do need to write better English although it might not be your native language? However a list of 700 is a great start as long as it is targeted to a specific niche. Keep on working and never give up as quitters never succeed!

He has probably bought one of the previous wsos that stated put up proof of earnings when you create a product and not having any proof he created it,unfortunately there are so many products that are misleading that you cannot blame those that have been taught that way,if I was to do a wso I would do a free one first then put toghether a more indepth one on the same subject for sale providing the first one was sucessfull.

Hey man, I understand how you feel. I know it can get frustrating at times, but success comes often to those who don't give up.

You kinda remind me of that miner from the story "Three Feet From Gold." The miner set out to find gold during the rush. He was so excited at first but it soon faded. The miner dag and dag but found no gold.

Eventually, the miner gave up and sold the digging site along with all his equipment to someone else. The other miner who understood gold digging decided to dig where the first miner was digging.

Turned out the the second miner found more gold than what he could do with. If the first miner had kept digging but another 3ft, he would have landed the gold.

Long story short: never give up man. You've already made your first sale. Try to keep going at it man.

Side Note:
A suggestion that you need to implement is try adding massive value to your list first. Remember, if you focus on genuinely helping people and providing massive value, the sales will come naturally.

I think the reason your list is not opening your emails because they expect to receive ad after ad. Try providing so much value that your list can't wait till your next email. Once you do that, sprinkle in some sales pitches.

Ok guy, I am going to tell you what I think. You are a newbie in this arena and newbies do not make a buck. Why? they do not know the ins and outs of this stuff. Some of them just want and easy ush-button solution without spending time learns how this thing called I'm works. I think iWriter.com will help you.
