Anybody here use Hivelocity? Thoughts?

Hey there,

I was wondering if there are any warriors who do larger quantities that are using Hivelocity for dedicated server hosting.

I currently use a lot of other companies, such as Softlayer, L3, and Rackspace, and I've been looking at the pricing of Hivelocity and they seem pretty awesome. The problem is it makes it a bit wary because it almost seems too awesome, such as they would go belly-up soon, or that there is something really bad in their service that they are doing a good job covering up.

Either way, does anybody have experience with Hivelocity? Is it good or bad? Better than SL?

    I have used both them and SoftLayer in the past - I never had any issues with Hivelocity but did find that SL was quicker to respond to tickets normally. But that was about a year ago so that could have changed of course.

    Thanks for the feedback Chase. Was the quality of hardware and network on Hivelocity good? Were their ticket respond times excessive? With SL, you can call and get a response instantly. Not sure about Hivelocity though...!

    Their hardware/network was good and I could get quick answers over the phone from them. I'm not saying that their ticket responses were extremely slow, but at that time SoftLayer's were faster. But I don't remember if they were offering live chat when I was with them and that is definitely one of my favorite ways to get support.
