Are you offering unrestricted PLR? In that case, you can say, "In short, you can do anything you want with the product."

      nksurf,

If you're creating your own PLR material, you can apply whatever terms and conditions you like. Have a look at the terms other PLR sellers are using if you need some guidelines.

However, you might want to reconsider this one: "Can resell Private Label Rights" - unless you want your customers to immediately compete with you on your own product.

Can be translated into other languages.

This is NOT included in the right to edit under the Berne Convention treaty, it is a separate right. If you don't say it can be translated, it can't.

So if you'd like to offer reputable, conscientious people in other countries the right to enter brand new markets with very low competition - something which is quite an excellent selling point - you need to say out loud that they're permitted to translate it.

And if you allow editing, a lot of people don't know that doesn't include translation - so if you don't want to allow translation (e.g. you want to sell that separately for a higher price), you need to say it's not allowed.

Thanks, CDarklock. I just learned something new from you. How would you find out if your PLR product has been translated to another language? Wouldn't that be difficult?

I'm only really concerned with communicating to the customer what they can and can't do. Enforcing the licence isn't interesting to me; most people will follow your terms, you just have to give them a clear picture of what those terms are.

With master resell rights (MMR), you may resell the product and you may also grant the same right to your customers.

With private label rights (PLR), you do not only have the right to resell the product, but you also have the right to edit or modify it and to claim it as your own work.

I would recommend putting in what you don't want people doing with your PLR content. I only have one line on this for my own PLR - "cannot pass on the PLR rights to customers".

When I was developing the set of rights for my own PLR, I collected a mega-list of all the different rights that came or didn't come with the PLR I've acquired over the years. Here it is - there are repeats of the same concept in different words, so you'll need to edit carefully.

With PLR you can actually resell the product, but only an Unrestricted PLR allows you to pass on the PLR rights to others. MRR only allows you to resell the product without editing anything.

then here my other question.. Have there been any case in where a person was actually sued over a ebook that a person just took and claim it as his own ?

I understand that the admin in this forum are watching to make sure it does not happen here on WF and I do respect the admins for that one..

Yes, you have been given very good information here. But I think before you decided on what should go in the boxes, YOU need to decide what you want to happen. No two private label rights products are the same. The more exclusive you make the product, the more that you can ask for it; while at the same time, the fewer the restrictions..typically will sell more also.

    But you are the key...
