I use my Twitter account to reach my visitors, my niche. Those who follow me WANT to hear what I have to say as much as I do from - many of us work in our niche industry and Re-Tweet each other to our niche followers.

Why would anyone want to clutter their Twitter feeds with irrelevant news from irrelevant people? I don't understand how this will help anyone in promoting your brand/self/product, or finding relevant info to share with their followers who are interested in the niche they are catering to. It seems to contradict everything I thought I learned from WF

Twitter can be used in many ways. I've found that utilizing lists is a good way of building out your account and making your content hunt more targeted. I'm attempting to build out lists for where warriors fall.

To those uninterested, nobody is holding a gun up to your head I'm interested to see any and all warriors using twitter. It's all a learning experience, right?

adribabe is right. Twitter should be used to follow interesting people and having a steady feed of news directly related to your interest in your niche.

A massive adding frenzy is just going to clutter your twitter account and you won't read anything anyone has to say.

    More is not necessarily better.

There are many twitter friend adders available online. You will be better off joining one of these networks of twitter users if you want mass friends, but it won't necessarily do you any good.

What is the reason you need loads of followers anyway? Is it to send out affiliate links to them or something?

The way you use twitter isn't the way I plan on using twitter. You're using the main feed as your only outlet for reading. If you use lists, you can organize all categories of content coming in. That includes IM.

I'm experimenting and would like to bring the community together in doing it. I didn't expect to be alone and I don't think I am

That's exactly what I do. I auto-follow a ton of people to drive traffic- it works well actually as long as you provide good content (instead of affiliate links).

Then when someone mentions me with something interesting, or I notice an interesting story, I put them into a list. I use my lists as my home feed.

I'm @Dan_Allard on Twitter, I usually follow everyone back.

Hope y'all have fun when your bots and automated posters start spamming the bejeezus out of each other.

I've killed one Twitter account already because I played the 'let's all follow everybody' game and ended up with nothing but random quotes scraped from some motivational site and spam links.

          Thanks, but no thanks...

...people do this regardless. The more followers, the more people know you have an account. It comes with the territory.

I think a few of you are missing the point of doing this. A twitter account isn't a private name unless you make it that way. If you don't want your twitter name scraped, then you should keep it private.

As for following people from here...I'm not gonna do it if you spam affiliate links. I think that's a given.

I'm all caught up on people interested in the forum. Thanks for the great response! Keep them coming, Warriors

I think that his intent is to network with fellow warriors. He is viewing twitter as a platform where Warriors can send quick tweets to each other; and also where he can watch how they operate on the website.

I agree with what John said though, it's just going to turn into a spam fest. If anyone wants to follow me, that's their business; and I don't play the follow for follow game. Plus, my twitter is for personal use, I think I talk more about a TV show than anything else.

Anywho, that's what I think he is getting at here.

Exactly right. Most people that use warriorforum are into IM enough they'll be tweeting about it, meaning the forum is full of people that should be following one another.

                That's quality.

To adribabe and everyone else knocking the mass-follow method,

Have you tried it for yourself? What numbers did you see? See I've been doing this for a few months now (Dan_Allard on Twitter) and I see consistent increases in traffic from Twitter. The more followers I get, the more clicks my links get. Also I get many clicks just from my bio box link.

More followers=more Twitter traffic. And if you're not a celebrity, following a bunch of targeted people is probably the easiest and most cost-effective way to grow a following.

Don't knock something until you try it. You're basing your argument on theory, and that's fine stick with your own traffic generation methods. But for me and many others, this is a nice side stream of consistent traffic and my Google Analytics can prove that.

To everyone else, ignore that haters. They always have to come around and prove everyone else wrong (and base it on nothing but their opinions).

Agreed, Dan. I'd rather put my efforts in trying something and having it fail! A lot of people seem to have it all figured out...I'd rather learn on the fly Thanks for the words, bro! You have a nice following.

I hope you and Dan and the others get what you want out of this, I really do.

Just don't put me in the "don't knock it until you try it" group. I did try it. The results stunk.

When I saw that trying to save the account was futile (garbage coming in faster than I could get rid of it), I gave up and plowed that account under.

Thanks to everyone posting. It's awesome to see people interested in this.

Some people are asking my goal here: to network with you! Everybody has their own opinion or personal take on how they should run their account. That's great! I hope we find differences in one another I have come to understand the power of Twitter and see a way of using it that works for me and learning from as many Warriors as possible.

I'm not trying to build a list of worthless followers...I'm not trying to be anybody I'm not. I simply want to start using lists and one (or a few) of my lists will be based around exchanging information with Warriors. "Following back" is a credible exchange of information that some people are interested in doing. I'm one of them.

Keep the names coming I'm updating from the list right now!
