Anyone still having success with hubpages?

I'm trying to increase my writing performance at the moment, but I haven't been active in the IM world in a long time. I noticed that they have a new impression system and was wondering if they got hit hard by the panda update. I was thinking about writing product review for amazon.

Based on the stats from hubpages.com 9,794,034 UVs for November 2011 | Compete
    hubpages actually recovered pretty well.

As you can see from the picture below ezinearticles has not recovered from Panda yet.

I really don't see any reason why you shouldn't use them, no matter how they were hit by panda... they are still one of the services you can benefit from, although they lose some of power they previously had...

Whoa! Wouldn't like to be Ezine.com after seeing those stats. Bet they're screwin' over it and wondering how to recover from it.

Squidoo is another alternative to hubpages. I solely do lenses and do about 5 to 8 per week. I have not noticed any difference in my traffic or income. But my strategy might be the difference. I have a UAW account and all I do is make a lense and throw UAW at that lens and it preforms well. It's a bit of work but those lenses stick and preform well. I make between $10 and $12 per month just from the squidoo rev-share from 90% of all my lenses. I have been doing that for about 3 years now so it has adds up nicely now.

To date we've had a hard time getting value out of Hubpages even after building great content and some inbound links to the Hubpages text of ours. It's a great authoritative domain and site but other Web 2.0 properties seem to deliver better traffic and Domain Trust statistics.

Goodness, that EZA graph is staggering. Well, I guess they're not happy that they allowed authors to post 100 versions of the same article with just a few changes.

    hi,
i used to use hubpages a lot but now days i hardly use it because i am not getting quality traffic from them and i am not even getting any seo benefit from the back-links from hubpages.

This is how I used to think about submitting stuff to article sites. The concept is pretty much all wrong. Seriously, you need to study this thread:

The main issue with Hubpages and Squidoo is that they can and do change their terms of service on an apparent whim - Hubpages decided earlier this year that you cannot link to Clickbank. One of my Squidoo lenses has been locked even though it contains entirely original content and does not contain promotional content - I think it tripped their systems as it contained a dead link.

These are the hazards of posting your content on a site that you do not own....

Article marketing, Hubpages, and Squidoo all still work but not nearly as effectively. You should take half the time you previously used with articles, lenses, and hubpages and dedicate this time to social media like Twitter, Facebook, and Google Plus.

I had over 300 published articles at Hubpages written over a period of nearly 3 years. I was making a few hundred dollars from them. They decided to shut me down. They closed down my account without giving a good reason for it. I emailed them and all I got was "Your account has been permanently closed and cannot be reinstated." It may still be good for article marketing purposes but to be honest I disliked their unprofessional move towards a long time member. Just my two cents.
