Selling Leads?

A friend of mine is trying to sell leads on linked in from a company that gathers targeted leads. Is this an okay practice to do? Any info please post. not too much info about it online.

    Not really a good idea. It's usually a waste of money. You never know those leads may be old leads. Old leads only mean people will be pissed at you once you try to contact them. Instead of spending for those leads, what you do is do some ppc instead. Generate your own so the people who opt-in are generally interested in what you're offering.
