Top 10 analysis and site serp

during my keyword research i found a keyword which is easy to rank for
how ever i found a strange case in which i seek your advise

if you look at google top 10 results closely you will find
love-sessions com/whatislove.htm is ranked no1 for keyword [what is love]

truegoodlove com is ranked 4th for the same keyword


when comparing onpage and off page seo for both sites you will find truegoodlive defintly win in the comparison

can you advise why love-sessions still ranked 1 ??
and if i created a site for the same keyword with all onpage seo 100%
i will rank 1st or i will need more backlink building ?

    Did you check backlink strength? I also have a website that compete with .gov website. GOV website always rank on the top 1 & 2 even my website has more on page optimization.

    Hi! What are the domain age of these sites? There are a lot of factors why a certain site ranked first. Also, what kind of link building strategies have you done in the past for both sites.
