Hi All,

Just a general question. I am working on an affiliate website right now, but it is one side bar (left side) with the articles listed (will end up being a 20-30 page website). This wordpress is set up as pages, so one post per page on the website.

But I have been reading more and have been debating on whether or not to switch to the "normal" blogging theme: multiple posts per page, 60+ posts per website. To me it seems that using this way you can target a lot more long tail traffic and give the user a better experience by providing more information. My only qualm with this is that they visitor will read, read, and read but not buy.

What are your thoughts?

Regards,
Noah

Having one static landing page is much better than lot of posts in home page. You can create different posts targeting long tail keyword and create proper category for them.

I use both pages and posts on my blog. I use pages for product reviews and the blog posts for articles. When you go to my homepage, you will see the blog posts I've written. I have a page on which I list all the reviews that I've done. There is also a short list of the latest reviews in the top, right-hand corner. I get traffic from both my product reviews as well as the blog posts, but the majority comes from the reviews I do.
