Build your list with $100

Hi,

I've just started IM. My site, auto-responder, and everything have been well set up and are ready to go.

I have around more than $100 to spend on traffic and get subscribers but don't know where to start.

Anyone can give me some advice on that? It would be highly appreciated.

Thanks,

  • You have not given any idea as to what , product you are marketing, or what your site is about. If you are focusing on a niche market that is not overcrowded, then no problem, but a saturated one will not deliver much sales.

    • According to the website in your sig, you should already have the answers to your questions

Incorrect. A saturated market can deliver just as many sales (if not more sales) than a market that is "not overcrowded".
  • Solo ads would be the best.
  • You can utilize youtube promoted searches by making a video of your product. With the video you can use standard SEO tricks to boost your video ranking. How far $100 get you will depend on your niche.
  • It all depends on the type of your site, niche etc... but there is no info about that ... anyway, solo ads to lists related to your niche could be the best choice... or you could go with PPC...

    • Best way is to post a FREE WSO cost you $40, give a free report or video series.

can't get more targeted than that

  • Click on your sig... ;-) LOL

    ok, kidding aside.

The key to building a quality list is the initial research to find a market and to be offering them what they need.

Sell what people are buying is my moto.

Then put up a squeeze page, set up an autoresponder (as you said you did), give valuable information to your list.

To get the people to sign up, offer something of real value to them and get targeted traffic, not just any traffic.

Get targeted traffic by posting in appropriate forums, write high quality articles that get syndicated post on social networks.

There is a lot of posts on here about additional ways to get traffic, too.

    Good luck.

    • Really? That's really your "best friend's mom"?
  • Somehow posting WSOs to get subscribers is NOT the answer for all traffic questions.

If you are selling in the health niche, and you post a WSO here to promote you product in the IM circle, you are just wasting your money.

Give us more info in the market and some info on what kind of product and we could help better :-).

  • via PPC in your niche.
  • I used solo ads a few years back without any real success at all. I may give it another try. I have always felt that you can certainly build a list with solo ads, but whether you can build a list of buyers is a different thing altogether. The same goes for PPC. In my view the slower but proven ways always win out in the end. Try Blog commenting and guest blogging. Build authority and trust. Not a spam business.
  • $100 is an alright sum to start building your list, you can firstly ignore what 'CareyCohen' has to say, what' he doing talking about his best friends's mom anyway?

If you have a good product or service that you can give away then you can create a free WSO and collect email addresses from everyone that downloads the product.

You can look into buying traffic and using solo ads - if you head over to the WSO section there has recently been a few products about how to do this effectively. I recently bought one from investasap and found that to be good!

You can use PPC methods, unfortunately I am unable to divulge more on this as I have only used it a few times.

You can use the majority of the money to outsource work for you: article, videos, press releases etc. all are sure-fire ways of getting traffic.

    All the best

  • Try running free wsos first. Then adswap with partners in the joint venture section of this forum. With this method, your 100 bucks should spiral into a good 500-600 subscriber list.
    • [ 1 ] Thanks
  • I would do a free wso and when you have over 100 sign ups I would do an ad swap or two on safe swaps and it will quickly build your list.

  • Solo ads and WSO's are both good ways to build your list.
  • For long term success you can try building backlinks to your website
  • Solo ads work good for building my list.
  • Craigslist ad to a squeeze page. Also, social marketing does wonders for your traffic and conversions.
  • PNUD025, before you spend your money, please have a read of my ebook and because it is Christmas and I like to help newbies succeed, here it is for free List Building Unmasked: Secrets Of Profitable List Building

    • Hey,

There are ways to build your list without spending a penny! You can create a squeeze page for free (maybe register a .info domain or get one for free at dot.tk) and create the SP itself.

There's a great service I use from time to time called Free Video Squeeze Page Creator. Google it and build your SP within minutes!

Then upload it to your domain via an FTP client.

Then the next task is to promote your SP. You can promote it via your signature here on WF or even on other forums in your niche. Or create a Youtube video about what you have to offer. Be creative here!

  • I had a list of 32 last week. I had put together a 19-page ebook for my niche. I emailed a BIG KAHUNA in this niche, offered him the ebook with affiliate links for his products included inside, for him to send to his massive list along with a link to my site. He agreed after reviewing the ebook for quality.

I made a few sales ($200) which was nice given that they were products he has already been pushing to his list, but more importantly I got 600 opt-ins to my list of buyers in this niche (from about 4000 hits). I'm pretty happy with this. So I guess based on my very limited experience I would keep the $100, and put some work into a quality giveaway and get networking in your niche.

I would suggest you to run a FREE WSO.
  • If you want to do WSOs in the future do FREE WSOs.

However, if you want to do mainstream CB Offers then choose solo ads. The difference between WF Crowd and mainstream crowd is that Warriors are very very smart and the mainstream crowd is a little less familiar to IM tacts.
  • He wants an idea for list building for a service that would teach other how to make $1000...
    it sounded oxymoronic to me
  • If you want to launch WSOs in the future do FREE WSOs.

If you want to get into the CB Markets as an affiliates buy solos.

    Plain and simple.
  • I just LOVE the "run a WSO" and similar suggestions. NOT! We don't know what niche the OP is in, so if he's not in IM, running a WSO is a waste of time and money.

That said, here are two of the most useful posts I know of for driving traffic on a low budget:

    1. Kim Roach's ยป 21 Steps to 1,000 Visitors Per Day

    and

    2. Ana Hoffman's How to Promote Your Blog on a $100 Budget

These will get you started. In IM, you either have time or money. PPC will help you build a list fast, but if you're a beginner with limited funds, it's not the place to start. Fortunately, IM is a fairly low-cost business. (In money that is. There IS a steep learning curve and it sucks up a lot of time. Fortunately, most of us here love it, so it's ok. )

There are a lot of resources with info on how to drive traffic and build a list. Many, many methods (most even?) are low-cost, even free. More important is your clear and focused plan for building a list in your niche, which will determine which methods are right for you. One size does NOT fit all.

    Hope that helps!

    Michelle
  • $100 doesn't buy you many PPC ads, nor does it really pay for effective facebook ads. Creating a facebook page may be a good way to get subscribers and it doesn't cost anything, except for the money you have to spend to buy a certificate for your website.
  • Definitely Soloads to just start your list with the $100. A good resource sitesoloaddirectory.com/blog/

And do Adswap once you have a good size list.

You'll want to "redirect" the opt-in to an offer to make a quick buck or two Remember to choose one that pays directly to your paypal acct to have immediate cashflow.
  • step 1: create a a genuinely informative, value adding report or e-book

step 2: create a genuinely persuasive sales letter

step 3: pay $40 to create a WSO

    step 4: profit
