The plan for 2012 and the way forward

Hello dear warriors. I just joined this forum even though I have been reading it for a few years. I would like to share with you my plan for 2012(and beyond) and would be happy for your valued opinions. The plan for 2012(and beyond) is to build and rank 10 great affiliate sites that help the visitor to make up their mind about the products I will be promoting. Financially my goal is for these sites to make about $3000-4000 per month together. Once I achieve that, every 3 months I will be buying a quality site on flippa that brings $1000 each. I will keep reinvesting untill I have 30 sites making $1000 each. Then every 3 to 4 months I will be buying an expensive site that brings in 8-10000 per month each. I will keep doing it untill I have 20-30 sites like that. At this point I will start getting rid of the $1000 per month sites and keep the big ones. I think this could be done in 3-5 years. Anyway, just wanted to share my long term plan!!!

The plan itself is actually pretty good; and seems like a smart way to build an income. I'm hoping that this is just a summary though. Have you considered:

What niches you will go into?
How you will produce content for those sites?
How are you going to design the sites?
How will you maintain these sites (especially when the number of sites start to get up there)?
How will you ensure the flipped sites keep bringing in income?

There are many other questions to. This is in no way meant to detract you from what you plan to do. As long as you stick with your methods and execute, you should find yourself with a profitable business. You just have to make sure you know exactly what you are getting into and exactly how you plan to accomplish your goals.

I admire your plans! It's not fool-proof and naysayers will tell
you that you are too optimistic, but you can achieve what
you "see" in your future... IF you take ACTION,

The secret to success right there. Warriors... read and read again. If you ask most people who have become successful in this business I am sure majority of them would tell you the main thing that turned it all around for them was... taking action.

What I have learned so far is that even if your site looks like crap(the one I bought on Flippa us quite ugly) as long as you are on 1st page of Google and there are enough searches for the keyword, you will make money.
        The truth right there!

An ugly-looking shop in the middle of a busy street providing what people want, will always enjoy better business than the beautiful one tucked away at the corner no one knows about.

all I can tell you is to take action and keep focus. Also, sites that are making those amounts of money do require maintenance so that being said, you're better off focusing on less websites and having better ones.

    Money is deep, not wide.

Thanks for your opinions. Most of the sites will be done with xsitepro, and a few with wordpress. I have tested both platforms and xsitepro is perfect for some affiliate sites, and wordpress for others. I already have 9 exact match domains with average exact searches of 20 000. Once I go into the flippa part of the plan, I will outsource. Perhaps if a site brings a thousand, I will spend 250 of it on outsourcing. Forgot to mention that my motivational books for the plans are The Science of Getting Rich, and the Master Key System.

Sounds like a good plan. So many people start with this " I can make a million this week", then get frustrated when they realize that real work is involved. Find a niche and stick with it. It is so easy to fly all over the place and then you wonder why you are not making any money. Read ebooks, sites, seminars, etc. Take notes, read between the lines, and make wise decisions. We dont have to buy every dime sale, we dont have to buy before the price jumps, another sale will come along.

Great plan. I suggest you add in there ideas on how to outsource.

You will find that maintenance of the sites will get out of hand. Employ a few cheap Article Writers and that will take a lot of time off your hands.

I am in the Rewview blog niche as well. It works!

Hey petkanov, sounds like you have a well thought out strategy for 2012, so if you can stay focused on your goals then I can`t see why you wouldn`t succeed.

    Just a little update.
I now have two websites live. One I bought on Flippa. It makes about $60 per month. The other I did it myself. It will promote amazon products. It is not ranked yet.
What I have learned so far is that even if your site looks like crap(the one I bought on Flippa us quite ugly) as long as you are on 1st page of Google and there are enough searches for the keyword, you will make money. When I bought the site, I did some changes and it quickly went to page 3. It took me sometimes to bring it back to page 1 with a few fivers gigs, and it started to make money again. So my advice to everybody that is starting is don't waste too much time on the perfect design, instead make a website with affiliate links(make sure they are nofollow or redirects), rank it for keywords that are actually searched for and you will make money. Before I bought the site on Flippa I was spending hours and hours on internet forums wondering if this will work or that will work, if the design is right etc. If you are starting out don't repeat my mistake. Now I understand that the most important thing is to give the reader what they are searching for. It is as simple as that. Complicating things will just drain your time.
My plan is now to make one new website a week untill I have 100 websites. 30 will be UK amazon, 30 will promote uk affiliate window programs, and 40 will promote US amazon products. It might take me 2 years, but I will get there eventually. I have also decided to use Xsitepro for my affiliate websites. That way I don't have to worry about my websites being hacked, security updates, etc. I also like wordpress, but find that it takes me a long time to make a website look the way I want it to look. I bought Xsitepro 2 weeks ago. Anyway, I will post updates as this also helps me motivate myself.

You are right. Goal setting is very important in life.

  • Awesome plan. The biggest thing is that you actually have a plan like that. I've always focused on SEO, but this year my goal is to expand into the PPC model marketing CPA offers.
I will always do SEO, as this is kinda my bread and butter, but I am intrigued by the CPA model of making money online.

As I said though, regardless of what your plan is, the big thing is you actually have a plan. I visualise my plan every single morning while I'm eating breakfast, and I read my 'Daily Focus' notes which remind me what I am doing and why I am doing it.

    Great post!

Update: I could not believe my eyes today, but my amazon site hit page one for its main keyword. Hope it sticks there. My money site that I bought on Flippa went from page 1, position 6, to page 2 position 1 and then today it went to page 1 position 10. I am thinking of posting 10 BMR articles for it. Do you think that is a good idea? Also does anybody know if it is ok with amazon to have over 50 websites per account?

Update: my amazon site struggles to keep rankings. It is a very thin affiliate site and probably this is part of the reason. It has made zero money. My site that I bought on Flippa keeps make money. I have decided for myself that thin microniche sites might not be worth the effort. It would be a nightmare to keep good seo rankings with so little content. It would be expensive as well.

I am happy in a way that my first affiliate site didn't work. I am concentrating my energy now on building 10 sites with 100 pages each. Each of these 10 sites are exact match domains (some with hyphens, some not). Each of these keywords have between 10000 - 20000 exact match search in the UK, and each of the sites I am working on promote products that according to Affiliate Window convert at 3-5% with average commission at £20-25. Even if it takes me a year, hopefully they will become authority sites and if they rank top 3 should bring £5000-£10000 per month.

Your sites sound like they are doing the google dance. It sounds like the Flippa site was an aged domain which should bode well. I believe at this point you should build what everyone calls your link layer. So build web 2.0's blogger, wordpress.com, squidoo etc... and backlink your fiverr gigs there. If you go straight to the money site you risk the google dance.
But want to congratulate you on your goals they are great, everyone should go for their goals and make them high.

Keep us informed how you are doing good or bad, thanks for sharing your plan. I'm working on authority sites this year and a few sniper sites for products that are due to be released later in the year. I found juggling to many one product sniper sites to be a logistical nightmare!

The plan itself seems pretty sound.
My advice would be make sure you do your research when it comes to choosing a profitable niche. Make sure you are targeting products that people want to buy and there is a hungry market for them.
Also make sure you track and test and tweak every site. Some people just go ahead and purchase a ton of domains and expect them to make money. Test the ones as you are building them and tweak them until they are doing well. When you start to see results then repeat the process. Keep a schedule and target and write your goals.

    Hope this helps

by the way I bought Xsitepro and it is a wonderfull program. However, I alaso bought clickbump engine and xfactor2 theme.

I suck at SEO, so I got clickbump seo. Do you guys think clickbump SEO is effective? I am aiming for 500-700 words per page with a 100% seo score.
