Any Wordpress experts here ?

I have a problem and I need someone that knows wordpress well...I have a new website and am having problems with the signup form..

Since I'm still new here I cant pm anyone so cant reply..so am asking in a new thread, this may be in the wrong place though..

problem 1 - Aweber support sucks, I have a new account there and want to install it in my new site and they seem as novice as I and there tutorials stink.

problem 2 - my new site has a subscriber webform already fitted into it and I like it and dont want to mess up the page.

Solution - Is there someone here that knows this well enough to fix without re-doing my webpage and can get my aweber installed and working?

I'm trying to keep up with the information overload, it may be somthin easy but I for one reason or another am not figuring it out..

Maybe there is a way to walk me thru what to do since I cant seem to get what I need from the support.

I'm willing to hear any and all solutions, I'll post my email so you can email me since I wont be able to respond by pm...

Thanks in advance,
Geo

    Geo:

Have you gone through the video tutorial steps (as I recall there are about 5 in total) at Weber to set up your form? I thought that was a pretty straightforward presentation and mine worked well when done.

You might also try a plug-in for WordPress that I have used satisfactorily called Contact Form 7 (search for it on the plug-ins page of WP). It's a breeze to set up.

Is contact form 7 compatible with Aweber & mailchimp? I like the plug-in as well, but stopped using when I set up a mailchimp account.

    From what I read,

It looks like you already have a coded email form on your website that may/may not be compatible with Aweber.

If it is not compatible with Aweber, you will need someone who can take the email form design and code it into Aweber.

If it is, you might need to change a few lines of code to get it working. Either way, you need a website coder familiar with Aweber integration.

      Thanks Eddie, Steve and Sitesmarty,

I think I will need someone to do what your all talkin about within the code, I dont know how or really dont want to screw things up so will place the ad you recommend..I think that would be the best way for me to go..

      I appreciate the answers,

You need to get the code from the optin form you created in aWeber. To use the aWeber code in your existing form you need to use a portion of the code. Then using CSS place that code into the field where the user would enter their info such as their email address.

Place a help ad on the WF and someone can probably do this for you.

Aweber has a free WP plugin: WordPress › AWeber Web Form Plugin « WordPress Plugins

    You might try that.

Without seeing your site to know more detail, the easiest way is to get the javascript code that aweber gives you after you create a form and copy that into a text widget. Just drag an empty text widget to a sidebar and copy in the script.

If you want it on a page, click the html tab when you're editing the page and copy in the script there.
